They're pouring money into Australian racing and breeding.

People should be grateful for their presence.

Oh I am

I just find it annoying with most of their runners having Yulong in the name.
It’s makes them hard to remember which ones which.

Do not speak to loud Sky, Gerry Harvey will start using Harvey as the first word in a name.

Harvey Libertini, has a nice ring to it

For the amount they have spent on their racing stock and yours is the second best?

How long will they put up with that return?

Like MANY breeders they will be hoping that market stays buoyant...

Guess neither you nor Jones realize that the UK owns more Australian land than does China.

I'm sure they don't care 2nd because ignorance breeds acceptance of those who look like the ignorant.

You know people are desperate when they start quoting Alan Jones.
Prejudice is an emotional attachment to ignorance.

We wouldn’t be here without the UK, Britain to be exact, China have their hands on prime agricultural land and that’s plain lunacy!

You always pull out the xenophobia card sc.
Why?
Its ok to be afraid of the unknown and fact says China is NOT transparent in many aspects of their operations.

You have a vested interest in their success.
Many dont.

To Discochimp, Bonjour and Isaac:

It was Bonjour who raised the race card (ie quote The Chinese already own the farm, may as well sell the animals to go with it,  Eh? Alan Jones is on the money unquote), not myself who simply explained that UK interests owned more of Oz than China.

It was Bonjour and others who felt a need to denigrate Yulong's considerable investment in Oz.

It was Isaac who accused me of a vested interest.  Sorry fella, everyone who breeds and races horses has a potentially vested interest in their operation.

And lastly it was Discochimp who came in late and offered absolutely nothing to the thread.  Which is about par for the course.

Bottom line is that many agree that the chronic use of the "Yulong" in horses names is damn annoying.

Other than that the company's considerable investment in Australia can only benefit the Australian racing and breeding industries.

Who is Yulong and where does their money come from  ?

The same question should be asked of China Horse Club.

This was explained earlier in this thread, and you were an active participant.  Confused

Hopefully you weren't among the hearsay evidence, arguably racist posters like Bonjour.

Yulong is owned by  a self made billionaire.
Two of his businesses are coal and wind farm construction.
A bob each way....

Well if you want an answer, please don't ask Alan Jones.

To however repeat: They (Yulong) are pouring money into Australian racing and breeding.

People should be grateful for their presence.

Times Asks: Who Exactly Is China Horse Club?

https://www.paulickreport.com/news/the-biz/times-asks-who-exactly-is-china-horse-club/As Justify and Audible prepare to go to the post for the Kentucky Derby, the New York Times wrote Friday that questions remain about the identity and operations of China Horse Club, co-owner in both horses.

The organization, which claims about 200 members, has been secretive about the identity of its members and the investment involved out of concern it could generate unwelcome interest from the Chinese government. St. Lucia prime minister Allen Chastanet said he has never met any of its members besides leader Teo Ah Khing.

China Horse Club has climbed the ranks to become one of the top ten owners in the world in just five years.

Part of the company's long-term plan includes a racing facility in China and a resort racino in St. Lucia. Wagering is illegal in China and infrastructure in both countries to support a horse population is seriously lacking.

One thing St. Lucia does boast is a citizenship-by-investment program allowing wealthy investors to acquire passports in exchange for investment in St. Lucia's economy.

The Times also notes the group, which is promoted both as an investment opportunity and a social club, runs through a “complicated network of companies that are registered in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and the Cayman Islands.”
