If you want to see an insanely over the top garden and you're visiting Pennsylvania, as one doesBig smile, you have to check out Longwood gardens.

I’ve got a 30m tall Lilly Philly tree near my pool. It’s flowers are more like a fine dustCry
It’s like snow.
Vacuumed the pool a dozen times the last 3 days and raked the surrounding garden constantly. 6 of these piles

If you enjoy the constant manual labor of a ill conceived garden then that's on you. A well thought out yard however should give you peace and tranquility with minimal labor. Don't plant heavy flowering trees next to a pool F F S instead plant succulents or cactus, and to stop leaf litter in a pool plant an evergreen or conifer or plant out some aloe in big pots and let them go bananas.

When I got my dog I went and bought 10 meters of fake grass off a large roll at the local hardware store, laid it out over the raggedy old concrete & pavers that was there, trimmed the edges to fit like a cut out, and glued it down. It worked well and pup was happy. It was the best way to keep my new dog safe and no digging. It's the only time I ever used it but it did the job. When renting you do what you can do, with what you have permission you have.

Thanks for the advice fiddler but given the tree is 30m tall I’d suggest to you I didn’t plant itLOL

Mind you, I did put in the pool and it’s the only spot it could go in. At the time I didn’t realise what the tree would drop and in actual  fact, this has been only about the 2nd year in 15 that it’s been an issue

I’ll take the joy it has given my family over a cactus LOL

We are surrounded by those gum trees that drop a lot of bark.  The neighbours across the lane put in a pool a few years back.  Guess what they spend most of their time doing. LOL

Why don't you invest in a pool cover letters?
The worlds oldest fossil was discovered in Australia, they named it Rupert Murdoch.

I’ve got one I leave on for winter but it’s a pain in the butt to roll in & out  for summer.
In saying that, perhaps I should have used it when the tree started to shed but most of the problems were due to the high winds we had blowing the flowers off the tree.
They normally drop in a “manageable” way.
A good dose of a thing called flocculant and it’s almost back to normal. Just a vacuum required after I get back from golf

I did a lot of swimming at public 50m pools when I was a kid. We eventually got a pool but I found it boring. Spent more time maintaining the damn thing than in it.
