Thanks SC, It is a concern but we went in there with a close second on a good track at Grafton (her favorite track) in the back of our mind, however tracks are different everywhere you go, some are like concrete!

Nothing would indicate anything wrong with her leading up to the event,so we'll see when she gets back tonight, a long drive for Steve and his crew, coming home with long faces, we have good days and bad, that's racing.

Always grateful they come home in one piece.

We have Vancity going around at Benalla on Saturday.  Was also entered for a Yea Picnic Maiden which nearly says it all.  Earlier suggested to the trainers that she simply didn't try when the pressure was applied, however it appears she has back problems.  Either way she's on her last chance imo.

Nice run for 4th.  Caught three back on the fence with nowhere to go and only got a run over the last 200m when she flashed home.  With any luck would've run a clear 3rd at very worst and she might actually win one.

Vinlago goes around as hot favorite in Race 3 at Sale today.  The stable's decided to race him into fitness and he's nowhere near peak fitness today so if he does win it'll only be because he's better than the rest.

We personally won't be going anywhere near the evens currently on offer.

Cheers GAJ.

Vancity will be aimed at a weak 1600m maiden somewhere over New Year and her future'll be decided following that race.  There's a race for Vinlago at Flemington on New Year's Day where he'd get in on the minimum, however a 1000m Maiden 3yo at Sandown on the 5th appears a more realistic target and you'd think it'd be a race well within his capabilities.

Didn't much fancy McCoull's ride on Sh'bourne Rebel in Tassie today.  Went far too early and wide for mine.

Be that right or wrong he shpuld be hard to beat next start in the Sheffield Cup over another 150m.

should benefit from the run and the extra distance of the Devonport Cup will suit. dropping 3.5 kg with the inclusion of Eastender.

Bring The Stars goes around in R3 at the Valley.  Has had a let-up and the tight circuit won't suit so just hope he runs well enough to justify a start over 2000m at Flemington on 15 Jan.

Make that R4.  Essentially a good clean out where he'll be ridden back and asked to finish on (read: not tonight Josephine, unless of course they go berserk in front in which case he might possibly fill a hole.)

No Sh'bourne Renegade in the Cup!  Must have had set-back and if that's the case just so disappointing for Slowdown and connections.  Cry

Haven't popped in for a while, hope everyone is well.

Just a quick update on our big horse Intense, he just hasn't quiet put it all together this prep. He is such a big horse and still has some maturing to do and will benefit from a good break. Unfortunately the result of an ownership vote has determined that the majority of ownership wish to opt-out so Intense has been listed for sale on this weeks Inglis Auction.

I've still got involvement in the mare Black Mirror and have just bought into another mare Raise The Colours to go to Pat who has been re-syndicated. She is having a 6 month spell and will be back at the races next Spring. She's a Raise The Flag who of course get better with age.

Hi everyone! My homebred Shine and Dandy kicks off his second prep today over 1400m at Camperdown.
He just didn’t handle the wet tracks in his first prep and didn’t really thrive being trained out of the big smoke, so on the advice of Danny O’Brien he’s been sent up to the bush with Andrew Bobbin.
Very impressive training set up and our horse absolutely loves it.

He will run well today, will take plenty of improvement though so a very good each way chance with Will Gordon taking the ride.

Cheers Big smile

Really happy with Bring The Star's 3rd in Race 4 at Flemington today.  Pocketed, held up, back to the rails and really finished off from virtually a "standing start".  The $4.20 the place was good too.

Just watched yours on replay Second Chance, nice result. Win not too far away hopefully.

A bit disappointed with Shine And Dandy's effort (or lack of) today.
He has pulled up okay so no excuses. Will need to show some improvement in his next outing.

Optimizzer returned to the track last Friday with a 7th at Geelong.

Not usually a fresh horse but has been going well 'at home' so expect him to improve greatly off this and then next run.

When we picked him at the start of last year he was already 4 runs into his prep, we got 4 runs into him ourselves for 2 wins and 2 seconds.
