They know how to look after owners AA, they always have. When the great Ian McEwan was the CEO he instilled a culture into the club, it's 10 lengths in front of any other club.

We sponsored a race there, Australia Stakes night a few years back, they treated everyone like kings and Queens, we had some first time race goers in the 'room'. they have become members and owners since that night, unfortunately RVL and the other clubs fall way behind, in fact a blight on the industry.

I'm sure you'll be back AA and if you're excited now just wait until you win one as you surely will.......!

Swagger is in the last race on Albury Cup day today, a $50,000 Class 3 over 1500m for country trained horses only. It looks an ideal race for him and Mitch is happy - the draw is awkward and the track played a little leaderish yesterday, so he will need genuine tempo and luck. If he gets both, he can win.

good luck robbo

My 3yo Intense has his second up run tomorrow at Avoca over 1860m, Mikaela is calming her 3kg again, she knows the horse fairly well now, looks a nice race for him. The only issue is whether he will handle the Avoca track.

thanks for all the goodwill everyone
i would've loved to say what we think of him, but its very hard trying to keep our feet on the ground, and our heads outta the clouds, and i have been known for going off before acceptances
absolutely love him (elvis) and what a trainer richie cully is
as richie has said we have waited a long time, since emma scott bought him in adelaide, and asked me to take a part, patience and trying to keep everyone on "target" has been a real test given its been 3 years since we bought him and he's had 3 starts
give a horse a red hot chance to mature. and couple that with understanding your horse and teaching him how to be a racehorse as against giving them their head whenever they race
horses are competitive by nature, we just need to control it
appreciate your thoughts bigtime

Had a strange winner this week - Swagger ran second at Albury first up and the winner returned a positive swab, so he was promoted to first. Very hollow win, especially as my win only ticket at $7.50 remains unpaid.

This weekend I have Loveisabattlefield on debut in Race 6 at Sunshine Coast - nice filly who will benefit from experience. My homebred Oath of Omerta starts his SA Derby campaign in R3 at Morphettville tomorrow and his little brother Diamond Hands has his first trial at Rosehill on Monday for Bjorn Baker. Going to be an interesting few days.

After missing a run at Avoca a couple of weeks ago due to a boil, Intense is ready to go back to the races today. Goes around in the 3rd at Warracknabeal over 1800m with Laura Lafferty on.
Warracknabeal is a tight track with a short straight so I'm not sure if that is going to suit him, but this is a nice kick off point for him.

I've also got a little share in Sixty Fourth Street an ex WA filly who is the full sister to Elite Street.
She will kick off her prep over 1100m in a maiden at Penola tomorrow with Jess Eaton on board.

Here's hoping for a good weekend.
Good luck to all with runners.
