they ended up getting the ratings of 1million watch the soccer final on abc and then 1.6mill for the extra time with them saying that 3million where watching the last minute of extra time
on top of that they got 450,000 on foxtel watching which is a great number. 1.8 million watched the tennis final with 2million watching the presentation. i guess they like to hear what Djokovic has to say. womans final got 1.1million cricket got around .9mill for both sessions and that would of been disspointing in that england never really looked in it. maybe at the start for a bit but when you knew we were going to get over 225, you knew england would struggle on that pitch. still a big weekend of sport being watched. going to be interesting to see how the ratings for the cricket world cup. channel 9 will be looking for the australians to do well and not so well that it seems we walk all the way to the final. which is highly likely because we seriously look a lot better than most teams. you would think only south africa has the fire power to compete and nz is in form but you wonder if they can do it over on our pitches when they get here in the finals after playing there first 6 matches at home. plus it is a 6 week tournament which is crazy and when they tried to cut it to a 10 team tournament they were met with extreme pressure to go back to the 14 team setup though i read somewhere that the adelaide oval was sold out for the pakistan v india match. that would be crazy if that was true.

I know quite a few Indians Questions that live in Melbourne, and there is a huge crew of them going to Adelaide for the match, so doesn't surprise me that it will be sold out.

seems that they have sold the game out in adelaide in minutes and 3 games are sold out overall with other games at close to capacity. they have sold 750,000 tickets with 9 days till it starts.
i read that the pakistan v india match in 2011 world cup was watched by 988million people and over a billion will watch the game in adelaide. probably safe to say that this is going to be the biggest sporting event in the world this year and could be a real boom for the tourist industry with the low dollar. a lot of money to be dumped both here and nz. i just feel though we are going to get to week 3 and people will be asking how long till the finish and we will be half way. or we might get some early upsets that give the tournament some life. not sure how much channel 9 is showing. foxtel will have a dedicated channel and i am presuming channel 9 will play the aust matches and selective matches on gem but have not seen anything to confirm that.

No it is the first episode of the last series (don't think there would be the same story line for 2 series. Also apart from Doctor Who I think all first run BBC programmes are now on foxtel BBC First channel. |

I sure got that wrong.
1. Although a little similar to series 7 themes it is new. 2. It is an ITV show not BBC. Let's hope it is as good as the previous series. |
