Would have loved to have seen them both, aa.

Let alone all the others that you have seen in Oz and all over the world! One day when you have time (and a few wines Big smile), you need to make a list for us of 'Stallions I Have Met' – please!

King Frankel Change of tactics To be ridden further back. Slow into stride and settled at the rear. Shortly after passing the 50m was brought down by Rolls, which had sustained an injury and fell. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any significant abnormal findings however a veterinary clearance is required prior to being permitted to race again. Apprentice Dakotah Keane underwent a medical examination and was passed fit however will be further examined prior to her next riding engagement.

Rolls Change of tactics To be ridden further back. Settled towards the rear. Approaching the 50m sustained a serious racing injury and fell. Rolls was humanely euthanised due to the injury sustained. This incident will be referred to the RV Veterinary Services Department. Rider Harry Grace was transported to hospital for further medical assessment.

American horseracing Legends

A brilliant sprinter who won 11 of his 14 starts during his two seasons on the track, Lost in the Fog was the pride of Golden Gate Fields, a track not overly familiar with.  His premature end, at 4, only increased his legend.  After a particularly poor finish, vets discovered, not the colic or perhaps a foot issue that was suspected, but cancer.   Additional exploration found he was riddled with huge tumors, one running the length of his spine.
He had run, and won, while fatally ill.  He was returned to his beloved Golden Gate fields and pampered by those who loved him best, until his death a month later, aged 4.

Nice article, he was a tough horse, responsible caring owner too. Sounds like he had a good innings.

Sejardan 2019–2025
It is with deep sadness that Blue Gum Farm announces the passing of our young stallion Sejardan, who suffered a sudden and catastrophic injury earlier today. Despite immediate veterinary intervention and round-the-clock care from an exceptional veterinary team led by Dr Angus Adkins of Avenel Equine Hospital, Sejardan was unable to be saved.
Sejardan arrived at stud in 2023, bringing with him brilliance, charisma and a reputation as one of the most naturally gifted juveniles of his generation. Trained by Gary Portelli, Sejardan was undefeated before Christmas at two, capturing the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate and the $1 million Golden Gift, before returning in the autumn to claim the time-honoured Group 2 Todman Stakes – a proven stallion-making race.
His early talent left a lasting impression on all who worked with him. In the words of his trainer Gary Portelli:
“He’s the smartest colt I have ever had anything to do with in my life as a trainer.”
Sejardan was only beginning his journey as a sire. His first crop of weanlings presented this year and were extremely well received, selling up to $130,000 and consistently finding strong homes at leading farms throughout the country. Their strength, quality and athleticism gave every indication that Sejardan was on track to make a meaningful impact as a stallion.
This loss is felt deeply by everyone at Blue Gum Farm. We particularly acknowledge the staff who worked most closely with him every day, especially his stallion handler Justin Telfer, who formed a strong bond with him from the moment he arrived. We also extend our heartfelt sympathies to Sejardan’s ownership and shareholder group, who believed in him and supported his journey from champion colt to promising young sire.
We would also like to sincerely thank the many breeders who supported Sejardan across his first three seasons at stud. Your belief in the horse, your mares, and his future was genuinely appreciated, and we will continue to honour that faith through the stock he leaves behind.
We will remember him with great affection and pride.

Sad news the loss of a Southern sire who punched well above his weight
"White Robe Lodge has announced the death of proven stallion Ghibellines."
"A son of champion sire Shamardal and the Group One-winning Elusive Quality mare Camarilla, Ghibellines’ racing highlight was his victory in the Gr.2 Todman Stakes (1200m) for trainer Peter Snowden."

From Living Legends:
Vale Durston 🧡🐎
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Durston, who was sadly lost following a paddock accident during what was one of his regular morning gallops with paddock mates Twilight Payment and So Si Bon.
Durston was a truly gentle soul — affectionate, cuddly, and full of character. He loved a gallop around the paddock and was always up to a little bit of cheeky mischief, keeping everyone on their toes and smiling along the way.
A winner of the 2022 Caulfield Cup, trained by Chris Waller, Durston leaves behind a legacy both on and off the track, remembered just as much for his nature as his talent.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his owners, connections, and everyone who loved him. He will be deeply missed 🤍
