Who's been vaccinated? I had my first AstraZeneca last week. Didn't fit the criteria then but I just rocked up and they did me anyway. It's not as if there was a long line of people waiting.

Me too prolly, unless I travel somewhere to a mass vac place.  I fit into the old people,s cat, but our local Dr is getting 50 vials every 2 weeks, in a town full of oldies.

Pfft, if you go the GP route you will be waiting forever. My 90yo father is doing that and won't be getting vaccinated till the end of June, although I could get him in where I went today, or 2 weeks ago, whenever. Dimwit.Big smile

Had flu 4 weeks ago and first Astra last Tuesday.

Just got a text each time via HotDoc app with a time, day and which doctor to see at my local GP, and all sorted...too easy.

We booked at a local clinic last Monday week, and both had our first shots the following morning.

Talk about chalk and cheese.  I had a low level headache for about a day after.  Partner, who apart from having flu and shingles shots had visited a doctor about twice over the last 10 years, was crook as with headaches, body pain, lack of energy you name it for a week.

Go figure.

they are filling us with confidence over the two vax choices. Now we are told the first Astra shot can cause a severe reaction, but the second jab is milder.

The first Phizer side-effects are mild, but the second one can cause severe reactions.

 flip a coin...

Not for me or my partner thanks, nor are the majority on the north coast of NSW it seems.
I just heard on the local news this morning that only 10% of eligible people in the region have rocked up for the injection!, many that have had it are sitting ducks in nursing homes where it is automatic.
Doctors and nurses eagerly await with syringes in hand..

another five Astra vaccinated people developing blood clots. All over 50, both male and female.

No way am I going near that one.

Even if the clots don't kill you, a minimum of six months of blood tests and medication looms.

Been there, done that, not going there again.

Of the 54 cases of reported clots, 38 were not the rare thrombosis related to a vaccine. Of the other 16 who were all are doing well.

 that's not my point...

they might be 'doing well', but long-term blood tests and thinning medication is a future reality.

You have no idea how hard it is to get blood out of me... I've nearly ruined the career of several pathology collectors...
