He's had no practice racing on a heavy track with a mdn win on the slow from 2 tries but what is 'slow' in Japanese terminology?

1st of 8 KYTO 20Oct13 1800m Soft 2Y MDN-SW $146,898 ($76,738) Yutaka Take 55kg Barrier 4
2nd River Soul (JPN) 55kg 1:52.60, 0.3L $1.60

5th of 12 RAND 11Apr15 2000m Soft7 QUEEN ELIZ Group 1 $4,085,750 ($100,000) Tommy Berry 58.5kg Barrier 11 Rtg 112
1st Criterion (NZ) 59kg, 2nd Red Cadeaux (GB) 59kg 2:05.35 (600m 37.00), 5.5L, 4th@800m, 4th@400m, $7/$9/$9

I'm fairly certain Sunday Silence line handle heavy but no idea re. the rest of his breeding tho' he does have 2 lines of Mr P well back.

How desperate are they for a run? Sydney has to be doubtful to some degree.
Is this his Grand Final (Sydney)? If yes I guess they take the punt Confused
Were I connections I'd opt for Melb. fwiw Wink

Dual acceptor.
Someone suggested he was staying in Melb in another thread. Seems logical on two fronts, both starting with a W.

GF is the Doncaster, that looks likely to be run in the wet (as we all know it's always wet in Sydney)

Embarrassed  Sorry, my mind must be playing tricks because I can't find what I thought I saw anywhere ^^^. Possibly power of suggestion?

Likely on an individual horse thread running in either the Melb or Sydney race Confused it's what seems to happen a lot.

Hoping he stays in Mebourne as I am on at $3.50. Should improve 2nd up out to 1600m and gets a 4kg swing for a nose defeat to Black Heart Bart. One of my better bets of the day.

I'm an unabashed Bart fan, but I have had a large bet on Tosen Stardom in the Blamey. He will be winning and this is his prep provided the wet doesn't destroy his chances in Sydney.

I don't like the set weights, every will call him a weighted special and he'll start much shorter than we would have got at WFA.

I actually think the prices, at their biggest gap, were no different to what you'd expect at WFA. He got done by a nose at level weights when first up and underdone against a peaking Bart.

Now Tosen Stardom improves with fitness and up to 1600m. It's also run at Flemington which takes a small edge away from Bart.

I really don't think enough allowance was made in the prices for the weights and only now we're seeing the gap start to close.

I'm not dropping off just yet. Ridden upside down and a bit keen in the run. A quiet ride with a bit more speed on in the Doncaster should suit.

That was the word from the stable. Still getting fit and being trained for a tough run in Sydney

Might've been worth having a tough run in Sydney then.

I'd be getting off. He's got panels to make up on Le Romain.

While the Doncaster is shaping as a good field, if the winner does not come from this guy, Le Romain, Hauraki or the lightweight Silent Sedition I would be surprised.

Hayes has done it in the Newmarket, so maybe Redkirk Warrior but it would, be the unheard of to make history twice in a prep.

Really? That surprises me. I had the impression that the money follows the stable opinion with Weir horses.

Is the Doncaster the confirmed target for Silent Sedition? I thought they may have gone to the Queen of the Turf.

I heard him say that Tosen would need the run and Palentino is a track specialist and was his e/w best of the day

Silent Sedition dual nommed for Friday night at the Valley. I assume she'll run in one of those? Which you'd think she'd be unlikely to back up into the Doncaster.
