Ten riders with Gosford engagements on Tuesday have been stood down after one of them has been “showing flu like symptoms”.

Andrew Adkins, Brenton Avdulla, Tommy Berry, Tim Clark, Sam Clipperton, Jason Collett, Robbie Dolan, Adam Hyeronimus, James Innes Jnr and Rachel King have all been stood down by stewards.

All 10 of the jockeys rode at Rosehill last Saturday.

The unnamed rider who was “showing flu like symptoms” underwent a COVID-19 test on Tuesday morning and chief steward Marc Van Gestel said he expects to know the outcome of that test on Tuesday afternoon.

"The unnamed jockey that rode at Rosehill on Saturday has been stood down and required to get a Covid test," Van Gestel said.

"The jockey in question has had the test done and we hope to have the results back this afternoon.

"The additional tests of the other nine riders have been performed on the basis that if the testing of the unnamed jockey comes back positive we will know where we stand.

"If it (the test of the unnamed jockey) comes back negative it will be play on."

Suspect you could cut the air with a knife at Mackay after the recent allegations/charges by Stewards.
