Having recently been dealing with my elderly father, who was almost killed by his cardiologist incompetence & decision making, it’s a fool who has blind faith in doctors or “science”

I did the same thing, booked for Tasmania in early January and got hit hard, so now its a waiting game, government officials have clearly said that even with vaccinations, restrictions wont be changing anytime soon.

Mmmm, unlike E&E, I am not confident of getting O/S any time this year. Even NZ looks a bit dicey , as its hard to get all booked and paid only to get borders shut in your face. We did that with Tasmania. All set to go and the wave of covid hit Sydney again and Tas promptly slammed 14 days quarantine on arrivals . By the time we had thought what to do for the best, then cancelled all our plans, a week later it all changed again.

What Biden’s Warmongering Will Actually Look Like![]() Opinion: Caitlin Johnstone There's a news story about a US military convoy entering Syria being shared around social media with captions claiming that President Biden is already "invading" Syria which is getting tons of shares in both right-wing and left anti-imperialist circles. The virality of these shares has inspired clickbait titles like "Joe Biden Invades Syria with Convoy of US Troops and Choppers on First Full Day as President", which are being shared with equal virality. But if you read the original report everyone jumped on, accurately titled "US military convoy enters northeast Syria: report", you don't have to read too far to get to this line: "Other local media report that such maneuvers are not unusual as the US often moves transfers equipment between Iraq and Syria." So while this is a movement of troops between illegitimate military occupations which have no business existing in either country, it is nothing new and would have been happening regardless of which candidate had won the last US presidential election. |

The reason we are getting all these wild animal diseases is because the most destructive virus of all, homo sapiens, is encroaching on and destroying their habitat.

Wonder what more deadlier and nastier strain will appear next, what's a good scary name that will keep people in fear for a bit longer
And here I was thinking new strains either stay the same or weaken and not get stronger

"...deaths in several African countries surged in December. Niger recorded zero deaths in August, September and October, three in November but 32 in December. Mauritania recorded two deaths in August, September and October, 14 in November but 170 in December.
Others reporting escalating numbers in December include Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Zambia, Rwanda, Senegal and Namibia." Graphs showing big spikes for some African countries through January as well. South African strain spreading north.

COVID review panel critical of China, WHO delayInterim report says Chinese officials could have applied public health measures more forcefully, WHO took too long to declare international emergency. Chinese officials could have applied public health measures more forcefully in January with the spread of the coronavirus and the World Health Organization (WHO) took too long to declare an international emergency, an independent panel reviewing the global handling of the COVID-19 pandemic has said. The virus was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019, before seeping beyond the country’s borders to wreak global havoc, costing more than two million lives and eviscerating economies. Monday’s report comes on the day Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit released 3 Days that Stopped the World, which showed the city of Wuhan during a crucial period early in the pandemic. Footage taken by two Chinese journalists and smuggled out of the country shows how the Chinese government failed to provide the necessary medical resources and attempts to censor journalists trying to report on the outbreak. |

They reckon quite a few of the quarantine hotel rooms are absolute shockers. From memory Rydges was prominent in discussions.
