To think that FDR expired from a stroke, in his sixties, from his high blood pressure, for which there was no remedy available at the time. Medical science has made great strides, but not with some pesky viruses !

They do quite a few stenting of arteries , Including carotid, coronary.
Mine failed so I had Mammary artery bypass , 3 months later ( now the preferred option ).
I haven't got much that works , the feet numb , The plumbing crippled , knees ,hips , Back,   and I'm not into the motor yet.
I give myself B12 injections every month . and space my tablets over approx 5 doses a day to assist absorbtion. Celiac disease doesn't help , along with Thyroid.
   I stopped taking Viagra .   No point having a car with no where to park it.
BTW . strokes during surgery are quite often caused by Blood pressure going so low, areas of the brain are starved of oxygen. >Plaque , blood clots also contribute to Ischemic strokes.
Apart from a few other ills , I've given up playing Rugby league , for a few more months.
Sound like PT and I had a similar mis spent youth.      . Crabs have been experienced but the kerosene scalded the "no go " area. Thankfully more modern creams are more humane these days .
All I need now is to test the Sars 2 , to gauge my state of health.

The people out of work as a result of the pandemic, in the USA, is pretty well in proportion with Australia, they are still in a very active phase of infection, with 25,000 new cases per day, so not placed as well as Australia to be relaxing restrictions. It remains to be seen if Australia does not get a winter upsurge, though.

I expect that could be due to the different treatments for fever in 1918/19
and the more modern diagnostic / medical know how , of today.
