She’s a textbook conservative so no chance of running as a Democrat. Hopefully she’d run an independent and siphon off 5% or so of the Republican vote.

Will plead guilty on Thursday after reaching a plea deal. Likely serve 100 days.

What it does is that it implies guilt for the Trump family when their turn in court comes in October.

Also means he can’t plead the 5th, when he inevitably subpoenaed.
Bad news for orange people.

Two years ago Liz Cheney won her state by 40 points, yesterday she lost her primary by 30 points to a former Trump hater who rolled over and agreed to lie for him.

That is the state of the Republican Party.

"Two years ago, I won this primary with 73% of the vote. I could easily have done the same again. The path was clear, but it would have required that I go along with President Trump's lie about the 2020 election," said Cheney in her concession speech.

Allen Weisselberg pleads guilty to 15 federal state and local govt financial crimes and will spend 100 days in hard core Rykers prison.

Interesting, the federal crimes are yet to be examined. Mr Garland should take a look at that after the Trump Organization trial in October.

Weisselberg, who turns 75 this month, was charged in 2021 with conspiring with his employer, the Trump Organization, to evade taxes by concealing his income through off-the-books benefits such as a luxury apartment, private school, tuition, and lease expenses for two Mercedes-Benzes. According to the Manhattan District Attorney, the scheme deprived the federal, state, and New York City governments of taxes due on millions of dollars in non-cash income.
