Max isn't stupid, I've seen plenty of hot-button, feel-good movements come and go. Odd that you appear to commend Trump, paying what is essentially lip service. The "problem" won't be fixed, because essentially it isn't a problem. But black gang and drug related violence is vastly greater, and the silence from BLM is deafening. What do those token aboriginal politicians say, "Tone deaf"? I would say completely ignoring the obvious. Don't mention the war, hey, whatever you do ! How ironic these diks want to censor Fawlty Towers. The only ones pretending, are the likes of you, PT. |

BLM is a "them and us" movement. All the great movements in history are unifying, they don't try and put people on the outer, and especially under the false pretence, that it is white cops that are mowing down young blacks, when it is in fact other young blacks toting handguns that are doing it, wholesale. Let's face it, those yanks and their Second Amendment BS, is what is exacting the deadly toll. But's that what happens, when the truth goes AWOL. They don't even follow what that Second Amendment says, bearing arms, "as part of a well-regulated militia" ! This BLM movement should be re-badged, the SFB movement.

I do think PT is well meaning, but really, in the end, when you go on detours from the truth, does it ever end well ?

I’ve been ignoring it because it’s totally irrelevant. seriously it’s such a simple concept, I’m flabbergasted that even you can’t comprehend it. Was his murder ok? No Should those responsible be treated harshly upon conviction?yes. Rioters aren’t employed by the tens of thousands in cities to keep people safe. Police officers are employed to keep everyone safe. Check out the vid of the “Karen” in Central Park. She uses the threat of calling the police on a black man, because the expectation is that they will treat him harshly immediately, regardless of the circumstances. |

But how dumb was that vast BLM rally in New York, given the recent mass deaths in NY from COVID. As the Seekers sung many years ago, "When will they ever learn".

They are equally dumb, a sea of people is a sea of people. I resent the attempted importation of the ultra-dumb SFB movement into Australia, by the aboriginal industry, and using "deaths in custody" as the pretext, these people have no credibility at all. Like all racists !

With science now saying that the virus transmission is much less of a risk outdoors, one might be dumber than the other. Will the 19,000 wear masks, or better still will Trump wear one?
If the new cases start flooding in from this week the answer may be provided

I'm not sure there would be "settled science" on the matter of outdoor vs indoor, I can see that being upwind of a "spreader" would be a lot safer, but directly downwind, might be a real risk, and greater than indoors.

A. I have never been a member of any political party, therefore I have never been to a party meeting, so I have no idea whether The Seekers music is played, although at local ALP branches this song is played

Save your “”flabbergastion” for yourself. I’m not surprised you consider the murder if Dorn to be irrelevant. Your lack of balance throughout this whole situation is there for all to see Every position you and PT have taken starts with the pretence of “how can I pin this in Trump” Now, we know why you’ve ignored it why do you think everyone one else has? Go ahead and have a guess

Over to you, Rightards. Here's someone you can hate with a passion for any number of reasons.
Lidia Thorpe named as new Greens senator
for Victoria Ms Thorpe, a Gunnai-Kurnai/Gunditjmara woman, was named as the new
Greens federal senator for Victoria following a state-wide ballot of its
members. A Victorian state MP, Ms Thorpe will be sworn into federal
parliament in coming months to fill the casual vacancy left by the former
Greens leader Richard Di Natale, who has retired from politics. Party leader Adam Bandt said he was "absolutely
thrilled" by Ms Thorpe's election. "Lidia
is exactly what politics in Australia needs at the moment," Mr Bandt told
reporters in Melbourne today. "I
have worked with Lidia for many years and have seen her get things done and
give a voice to the people that politics is leaving behind." He said as the first Aboriginal woman elected to Victorian
parliament she has won renters rights, forestry protections and LGBTIQ support
and has an "incredible track record of fighting for change". Ms Thorpe said the country has been through an incredibly tough
six months - catastrophic bushfires, the coronavirus pandemic and the death of
a black man in the US, which made Australia realise it has the same problems
with race. "Aboriginal people out there are struggling ... My people are
out there struggling to survive every day. So I want to bring that voice into
parliament," she said. |

Oh, and the latest "gem" from the local BLM protest, they demand the abolition of jails. Am I living in a dream ? You dead-set couldn't make that sort of BS up, but there they are, mouthing it shamelessly.

Not to be outdone, however, I see an attendee at the Trump rally declare that COVID was just a "hoax", and "scare porn". Extremists are ratbags, wherever they are found.

Relevance to Lidia?
But more importantly, over to the despisers rather than the doubter.

The relevance is that there is a common-sense deficit in people with extreme views. That silly woman makes no mention of people of other ethnic derivation "doing it tough", which in my book, makes her a racist.

Extreme views? Please elaborate.
ps I see no problem with an indigenous person expressly addressing indigenous disadvantage.

What is this disadvantage ? Where is it ? You might as well talk about ugly people being disadvantaged, there is nothing to be done about it, all that can be reasonably done, and more, has already has been done. The best proof of it, is coming direct from the mouths of those still complaining about "black deaths in custody", years after it was effectively addressed. These people are some unattractive mix of disingenuous, and stupid, and I see a lot of the former in the mix.

We see many people who have obviously very little aboriginal background in their pedigree, proudly announcing they are very proud of their "aboriginality", but I have never, not once, seen someone with that minority blood, say they are proud of both parts. Now, why would that be ? Because it would negate any argument based on race, and that is what these people want to perpetuate, division based on race. Not my kind of people, in fact they are knaves.
