Dear Shammy, what does comparing a selective poll about Biden comparing him to the lows of your previous guy ie the benchmark of bad say about your guy?

TFG's polls went into the toilet right from his American Carnage inauguration speech which gave everybody instant buyers regret, and his polls stayed there the crazier everyone saw how bad he was, only his base sticking with him.

Joey had a big lift from his inauguration and has been falling off the back of stuff largely out of his control. He can lift.

As you well know, a poll is a moment in time based on questions asked about current situations. Different story if Captain Nutso is again selected by your completely off the rails party to lead them into the next election. It will be another slaughter against a Democrat(anyone at all)

Biden's speech was directed at black America, who are wanting to hear that he is taking the election suppression against them seriously. That is why he used the civil war and civil rights references he did. Bit like Donny talking racist code to anon and MAGA. It wasn't meant for Republicans who would rage at anything he says.

Washington Post awards Biden 'Four Pinocchios' for false claim he was 'arrested' during civil rights protest

'The primary source for this story is Biden — and we’ve learned over the years that he is not always a reliable source' . . .

On COVID, Republicans Qanon MAGA rejection of the vaccine or masks is certainly achieving it's goals Shammy. R's dying 3:1 though. Voter base being ravaged.

The party has suddenly realized what has happened and even got the great man to promote vaccines and boosters on his O'Reilly Perverts Tour, but he got boooed and then Fox nutters attacked him. They are determined to keep the death rate up despite it being you R voters that are being sacrificed.

Four Pinocchios, ho ho ho ho, how pathetic, Joe. Trump has hundreds of them. In fact he's blasted past the 4 Pinocchio into the custom made Trump class bottomless Pinocchio - for lies repeated at least 20 times. Go Trumpy go. Nobody is in your class. Nobody is even close. You are the GOAT.

Joey is learning from the greatest Pinocchio of all. Two days later and they aren't talking about Biden's voting rights bill, but Biden lies about being arrested in civil rights march.

Bannon/Hitler/Orwell/Putin:   Bannon head of Breitbart said in 2018. “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with sh1t.”

I watched his speech live and was surprised how well he delivered it - until the fool went off script and said the "seems like only yesterday I got arrested" line. Doh. It's not like it's the first time he's said it, so no, PT, it wasn't Joe learning anything from Trump and it certainly wasn't calculated. His handlers would have banged their heads against a wall - he was doing so well!

I am straight down the middle of the road, Stayer.

While I detest Scomoron, I don't necessarily like Elbow, either. You can barely understand him when he speaks.

Who to vote for at the next election? It will be whomever is the best candidate for my particular electorate.

Shemmy, I see the Ohio Republican Supreme Court threw out the Rs redrawn and grotesquely gerrymandered map yesterday. They said even they couldn't cop such cheating. Now has to be redrawn again and if they cant do better the court will do it.

Gerrymandering is a fact of life in the states.  Like the Senate filibuster rule it is going nowhere.  After the 2010 census, VA suffered the same fate.  It all gets sorted out.  Don't let your delusional thinking make more of it, than what it is.  Politics as usual.Wink

Doesn't change the fact though that your hopes of winning back the House just took about a 4-5 seat hit.

Democrats face a tough slog in midterm battle to keep Congress . . . Democrats have long known history is not on their side in the 2022 midterm elections. But as they enter this campaign year, the steep climb to keep their majorities in Congress appears even more daunting with the COVID-19 pandemic stubbornly persistent and voters concerned over inflation and crime.

The unsettled national climate — if it holds in November — will likely favor Republicans, who need just five additional seats to take control of the U.S. House and only one more for a majority in the Senate.

The sitting president’s party almost always loses ground in midterm elections — doing so in all but two such contests since the end of World War II. And Democrats hoping to buck precedent have few easy fixes for the problems on voters’ minds or for President Biden’s underwater approval ratings. . . .

Yes yes yes Shammy, we all know about the midterm ''curse'' on the sitting President's party.
We also know about another truism you spouted 2 years ago about sitting Presidents being re-elected.

Remember your 2018 red wave predictions? Remember your 2020 Presidential predictions?

Common denominator in all of your catastrophically wrong predictions? It starts with orange.Wink

And he is still hanging around like a bad smell threatening everybody if they dont do and say as he wants...and they are. Threatening to pollute the 2024 elections. Get rid of him Shammy and you can start comparing to norms and precedents of the past.

. . . "The strength of Mr. Biden’s support will determine whether Democrats maintain threadbare majorities in Congress beyond this year or whether they will cede lawmaking authority to a Republican Party largely controlled by former President Donald Trump. Already, Republicans in several state legislatures have taken advantage of Democratic divisions in Washington to enact far-reaching changes to state election laws, abortion rights and public health measures in line with Mr. Trump’s wishes . . .For now, virtually none of the groups that fueled Mr. Biden’s 2020 victory are happy.

Young people are frustrated that he hasn’t followed through on vows to combat climate change and student debt. Women are worried that his plans to expand family leave, child care and universal pre-K are stalled as abortion rights erode and schools struggle to stay open. Moderates in both parties who once cheered Mr. Biden’s centrist approach worry that he’s moved too far left. And voters of color, like those across Mr. Biden’s political base, are furious that he hasn’t done more to protect their voting rights.

“We mobilized to elect President Biden because he made promises to us,” Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., told The Associated Press, citing Mr. Biden’s pledge to address police violence, student loan debt, climate change and voter suppression, among other issues.

“We need transformative change — our very lives depend on it,” Ms. Bush said. “And because we haven’t seen those results yet, we’re frustrated — frustrated that despite everything we did to deliver a Democratic White House, Senate and House of Representatives, our needs and our lives are still not being treated as a top priority. That needs to change.” . .

Yes as I said several times before it is progressives that are feeling most cheated by the corporate Democrats reneging on BBB. Still parts of it will be broken off and parts of the voting rights legislation before the midterms. I think this motivates progressives and they will turn out in 2022 making them the majority in the House and Primilla either speaker or minority leader. Either way a shift is taking place on the left.

A former top Obama economist throws cold water on the Biden administration's favorite inflation argument: 'Corporate greed is a bad theory' . . .

. . . A federal report issued Wednesday showed prices rose a still-elevated 7% in December compared to a year ago, the fastest pace in nearly four decades.

Supply chains are still broken with consumer demand surging for all types of goods like used cars and groceries. The Biden administration is pinning the blame for rising prices on corporations like meat processors for profiting off the pandemic. But many economists, including one that served in the Obama administration, aren't buying it. . .

Shammy this week I went to the same outlet I bought 10 x N-95 masks and they were 120% more expensive.

I placed an online order for groceries last Thursday and got 0 from 12 food items delivered for the second week in a row.

Should I just blame Joey and save my complaint letter to Coles?

As goes America, so goes the world,

Leader and guide to every nation. . .Wink

This a refrain from old church hymn.  Some truth to the thinking.  Last I checked OZ is still connected to the world.  I don't care who you complain to.  I am just reporting what is going on in the states.  I didn't start this thread, you did.LOL

Civil rights?

Your current ''debate'' on voting rights and the behavior of Republicans makes a lie of that Shammy. Here everyone votes, and you have extraordinary access to multiple means of voting over several weeks, and it is independently administered.

Shammy if you apply that old expression to the economy, it was created in the 50's when the US share of global GDP was 40-50% and US foreign policy determined most countries economies through patronage.

Now the US economy is around 14-15% of global GDP and large economies like China and India are decoupling from their reliance on America and other countries are forming economic alliances between themselves.

The US empire is in it's last days Shammy, there is a new world order coming if not here already.
