The Coalition on 50.5% (up 0.5% from a week ago) now leads the ALP on 49.5% (down 0.5%) on a two-party preferred basis according to the latest Roy Morgan Poll on Federal voting intention conducted over the last week.

Bob you're way behind the latest.  The Australian government has formally expressed its disappointment, whilst the PM himself has described the incident as "dangerous, unsafe and unprofessional".  Which really put Beijing's nose out of joint given its reaction.

ps "The consequences of these events are that they do damage to the relationship, and this certainly is an event that does damage and we've made that very clear to China," Mr Albanese told Sky News.

What did the US under Trump do about Havana Syndrome where several dozen US diplomatic staff were injured allegedly with sonic waves? China was blamed, nothing was proven.

For starters where is that $275 he promised to reduce our power bills? He promised the world and has delivered an atlas. Just think how he has stuffed up the retention of criminal refugees in detention, his failure to entirely to support Israel , yet talking about a  non existent Islamophobia.
As each day passes his positive rating is falling off a cliff.

a. exactly how he stuffed up the retention of criminal refugees in detention;
b. why he should entirely (ie unreservedly) support Israel; and

If those incompetent Ministers for Home Affairs and Immigration had not been diverted by the Voice campaign, they would have been able to foresee the High Court decision would be averse to the government's case and should have prepared draft legislation to stymie the criminal refugees immediate release from detention. 
B. I know you live in Bendigo some 153km from Melbourne whereas I live in suburban Melbourne only 4 km away from a Jewish neighborhood where synagogues are common. I think I might be in a better position than yourself to comment on antisemitism. No doubt you are aware that anything that indicates Jewish ownership can and has been subject to graffiti. Albo has clearly denounced antisemitism yet in the same breath has also denounced Islamophobia, but has not been able to say
where that Islamophobia has taken place.

Over the past few months, in cricket terms, Peter Dutton has found his length and line and in boxing terms he has Albo on the ropes.
A. Albo has been humiliated with his failed Voice campaign, which Dutton opposed
B. His Ministers for Home Affairs and Immigration have completely stuffed up the release of those criminals in detention.
C. Albo spoke in diplomatic tongue when he was queried as to whether he actually confronted President Xi over China's firing a sonar at an Australian frigate in international waters.
D. Albo had better back in Canberra and work out with Grim Jim how they intend to address the cost of living crisis in Australia

Dutton was always going to oppose the voice campaign, it was more that he happened to have been positioned on the winning side than he had a great political win over Albanese with it.

Would you rather Albanese have threatened to shirt front Xi like that pillock Abbott said he would do to Putin?

I agree they were incompetent in not having a what-if plan but The Voice has nothing to do with it. They could have directed their army of lawyers and senior public servants who didn't spend a minute on The Voice to create that what-if plan. Only dummies try and predict High Court decisions and make no preparation for getting it wrong. Ask Malcolm Turnbull.

Just how incompetent is Andrew Giles, the Minister for Immigration? 

A. He did not instruct any of his staff or bureaucrats in his department of ministry to draw up contingency draft legislation if the High Court ruled that criminal refugees could be released immediately into the community, fully knowing only dummies can predict decisions of the High Court of Australia.
B. In Question Time the other week Giles was asked the question of how many criminal murders had been released, Giles, reading from his notes said "three". It now turns out there were "four". 

If this bloke is not demoted to the backbench, Albo might be in a little more trouble than just been, in boxing terms, caught on the ropes.

David Manne, lawyer for many of the people in detention said yesterday on Afternoon Briefing that many people had already been released into the community, by BOTH the last govt and this one.
