Lismore also has to be rebuilt. Friends will be first in line for contracts and then ongoing trade deals.

Heard the other day that ALBO may now be referred to as AWOL, as he is spent limited to in Australia since the election, to be fair I will stick to Elbow.

It is amazing the amount of diplomatic damage he has to repair from the previous thug.

The sub-humans will line the streets to greet Elbow on his return. As long as they can afford the petrol, or find a train or bus , or pay the higher tolls to get there Ouch

I'll say it again. Since when did we crave the affections of the French. What have they ever done for Australia ? Humbug !

Credit where it’s due OneOne, this is a fair point. The previous government proved that there’s no need to be overseas giving away taxpayer money. That can be easily achieved from Australia. Did Freydinberg even leave his parliamentary office in Canberra when he managed to give Harvey Norman and other highly profitable businesses $40b in Jobkeeper?

apart from Elbow being a pound of hooter I just don't get the nickname - what is the relevance?
Anyway what mess of the previous government would you prefer albo to clean up first? domestic disasters or international?

And can we all pls stop referring to Scommo's success - or lack their of . Totally irrelevant. As my dear old mum always told me - just because the bloke down the road jumped off the bridge it doesn't mean you should follow him.

Excellent advice on reflection Thumbs Up

I think Elbow is getting to like this role travelling the world.

Time to come home - roll the sleeves up - & put up the security screen. Oh wait....just heard.......your going to go travelling again........Ouch

How many more foreign disasters does he have to fix up?

Parliament resumes in a couple of weeks. You will get all the Albo you can handle then.

And what a joke. Not saying anything has changed re sitting periods (i don't know)- however at least 2 mths after the Election & the buggers haven't even sat down in Parliament yet. I mean isn't the Climate Catastrophe looming ?  - isn't the Economy Tanking ? - at least Elbow & Penny can claim some activity I suppose clocking up their frequent flyer points - but what about all the other members ? Like all the Teals - haven't heard boo. And the first rhetoric coming from all of them is how "urgent" everything is. Will probably take another 6 mths to establish a workable pecking order as well - which by then the whole country will be in crisis mode & Elbow will be cut down at the knees by his own underlings.

And is Elbow comes back & starts immediately banging on about Uluru & the Republic I think he will get publicly lynched

Actually i think Elbow needs to start reading the local landscape. People are starting to tire of his global grandstanding. Sentiment starting to turn.

Well maybe they need to change the sitting dates - have more of them even. I mean that's what good governments do - get flexible !

We will see in the first sitting week when the legislation being worked on is presented to parliament. It doesn't write itself you know.
