I thought territories but having had no runners I knew he was no chance. At least got the invincible spirit part correct. Territories being by invincible spirit and from the female line of street cry is why they chose iai and maybe they are trying to replicate territories. if this is not the case then not sure why they plonked for iai.

I have not bothered to check stallion fees, or their success at stud.

These are the best pedigree matches imo, and they are not very good matches.

Stallion names are truncated as I had to make up a name ZZZ + WINX + STALLION NAME

You will see that in many cases the full siblings Royal News and Sovereign Edition feature.

If they are on the sire dam line and on the dam line of Winx then you might get a superior female (see Goldikova FR for three linked dam lines).

From what I see Winx is unlikely to produce a very good colt.

This is inbreeding analysis, looking for the best matches (in my opinion).

I don't even know the months of the AUS breeding season.

What I try to avoid is people asking me about one stallion.

haha.. have to agree with you there. But most champion mares are put to stallions based entirely on commercial return. It's hard to resist a guaranteed few $million in yearling sales. Unless it's a filly in which case the thoughts of retaining becomes relevant. Depends on the owners interests, etc. But unadventurous yes, even to the clothes they wore. Big smile

Most ( not all ) here keep on about why IAI is no good, but only a couple have come up witth VALID reasons, and made suggestions as to other choices.

Look nothing against Danehill but they do come in a certain type - unlike her type. And her build is perhaps where the engine comes from. Also the 1/2 by Snitzel wasn't anywhere near as good as Winx. Still think one of the more elegant lines but there is some blood in IAI which could match. Just can't see the foal taking after Mum. We want her build to come through. Maybe next time. And let's hope she has what it takes to give us plenty of excitement in years to come.

Charm Spirit

To be fair Charm Spirit and Highland Reel are still unproven. I can understand them wanting to go to a proven stallion.

Watching the racing at Royal Ascot and the breeding that was on show i thought it made Australia look very provincial.

IF Winx could travel who in the WORLD would be suitable?
