So you're surprised another Invincible Spirit stallion, and a grandson of Green Desert, is succeeding down-under?

I am not surprised.

I am not surprised we have to access horses from somewhere else to upgrade our stock when we geld far too many good horses.

We need more good workers paid a proper wage who are not afraid to work with colts. PROPER COLTS.

Nothing to do with staff or wage , too many close bred bad boned youngsters that are also allowed to bulk up too quickly , why is it that every second mouth that opens when interviewed has an accent ? UK. EU. SA. etc. gimme a break!!

Could also say that Not a Single Doubt is having one good season.  If they don't win then you get the dam by him.  Also Star Witness went quiet for a while and he's had a pretty good few weeks.

A stallion or stallion line will do well here if they find the blood they need.  Could be the Canny Lad/Bletchingly/Lunchtime blood in Not a Single Doubt.

It could be the Biscay/Kris/Diesis cross in Shalaa coming into play also.

Doesn't hurt to have Luskin Star and Rory's Jester sitting there.  Two out and out two year olds to help.

Carioca no one in our cities have anything to do with horses anymore.  And even half the country kids have quad bikes to round up stock.  On top of that most of the young ones on the ground want to earn the better salaries in the mines.  We just aren't wanting to work for peanuts and few are leaning to love the animal anymore.

None of mine are the slightest bit interested in horses.

And most of the bigger studs do seem to have overseas owners also.  I know alot of people don't like Arrowfield but it does stand up in the crowd of Irish/Arab/English owned and run studs.

Someone said maybe we need to start taking horses into the school like Subzero did.  Something needs to be done.  Too many of the young ones only take in all the negative from peta.  They aren't getting the full story.  Not sure but some adds on TV for a show tomorrow which apparently is about a circus family charged and jailed? over animal cruelty which has been proven to be wrong.  THey loved and cared for their animals but someone set them up.  The add says when chasing the baddies don't turn into one yourself.

Kids today only have dogs and cats who can live in the house with them to compare with other animals who have to live outside etc.  But if our industry don't show how it is run and how most people do the right thing because of the love of the animal we will run out of people even slightly interested.  You'd be surprise how wacky some of the things I hear about our industry have become.

Can't find where but I do remember Goldey lamenting somewhere that Shalaa had not produced any stars with first European crop    94f,  54s,  18 wnrs,  3 s/pl ,  10th on 1st Season income list. But if he is true to his sire this year will be better
Some pedigree analysts will point to the influence of Rory's Jester through the damsire as pointer towards Shaquero's precocity. I would tend to agree
Would somebody kindly post the pedigree to

Just noticed that the maiden race was faster than the MM 2yo race. NOT a good sign but of course will be lost in marketing
