Seems Mr Zelenskyy didn't return from his trip to Washington empty handed as was reported.
Recently a Russia airbase with dozens of attack helicopters in Luhansk was destroyed using ATACMS or a variant that it had been reported Ukraine had been denied. This means that Russia has to move it's sh1t back into Russia if it doesn't want it blown up as these 2 ton missiles have a range of 160km.

If the Russkis had any sense they would have strangled the little ahole long ago. He is bad for business: bad for Russia. Putin Can’t Afford to Lose in Ukraine—but He Can’t Afford to Win, EitherRussia’s economy is much worse than it admits, and victory will only impoverish it further.https://newrepublic.com/article/172505/putin-ukraine-invasion-russia-economy Among the enduring mysteries of Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine is why he wanted to. The financial burdens of empire were the principal reason for the Soviet Union’s dissolution back in December 1991. At the time, the Soviet bloc constituted 10.5 percent of the global economy, according to Nicolas Véron, an economist at Breughel, a respected think tank in Brussels. By April 2022, Russia’s share of the global economy (including its few remaining allies) had shrunk to 3.5 percent. Although Russia’s gross domestic product expanded on a per capita basis for the first dozen years of this century, it peaked in 2013 at $16,000, and today Russia’s per capita GDP is $12,200, ranking it seventy-eighth among the family of nations. These are not propitious circumstances under which to rebuild an empire. Even wealthy countries, starting in the mid-twentieth century, realized that colonialism was a luxury they could no longer afford. For a country like Russia, whose per capita wealth situates it (humiliatingly) behind several of its former satellites, including Hungary, Poland, Croatia, and Romania, the cost of reabsorbing Ukraine would be especially prohibitive. Waging war against Ukraine has already cost Russia nearly $1 trillion. That’s a pittance compared to what Russia will have to shell out if it wins. Think of it from Moscow’s point of view: There’s the cost of rebuilding Ukraine, the cost of military occupation sufficient to contain whatever underground resistance continues, and the cost of reabsorbing a population considerably poorer than its own. From an economic point of view, losing the war to Ukraine is by far the better option. Winning it would put Russia in the same unhappy position as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom at the end of Mel Brooks’s The Producers, when their painstakingly self-sabotaged Broadway flop becomes an accidental hit and bankrupts them. |

The US also quietly gave Ukraine some of these babies for mine clearing.
Ukraine is said to be the most heavily mined place in the world. They can detect and blow up mines hundreds of meters away. Quite a beast. ![]() |

The Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV) is a highly mobile and heavily armored minefield and complex obstacle breaching system. It consists of an M1A1 Abrams tank hull; a unique turret with two Linear Demolition Charge Systems (employing two Mine Clearing Line Charges (MICLIC) and rockets); a Lane Marking System (LMS); Integrated Vision System; and a High Lift Adapter that interchangeably mounts a Full Width Mine Plow (FWMP) or a Combat Dozer Blade. ABV, which requires a crew of two Soldiers, improves the mobility and survivability of combat engineers while having the speed and ability to keep pace with the maneuver force. It creates a tank-width cleared lane through a minefield by launching and detonating one of its MICLIC systems across the minefield, then proofing the lane with its FWMP while marking the cleared lane with its LMS. |

You’d have to say this campaign is wearing thin with even the most patriotic Russians. Stupid, humiliating and expensive - before one even considers the pointless loss of life

As Ukraine military commander General Zaluzhnyi says, to Ukraine soldiers are their most important asset, to Russia they are the least important.

At this stage both sides are forced to. They know neither side can win on the field. Ukrainian losses are huge so everyone very patriotic is unfortunately gone. Now the corruption and foreign aidlooting starts warming up. The worst part about the conflict is just how many Russians and Ukrainians are closely related

you started the thread with this
![]() ![]() Russia is indeed advancing and taking back the Ukraine.
Hungary is being given the south west of Ukraine. Carpathian basin. America etc won't interfere. It will take only one day. Geographically being returned to its rightful owners. |
