Holly ? ...... they won't know who you are talking about Max. Apparently, the "smart" way of spelling my nic is "hooly" ....... they don't even have the decency to start it with a capital "H" .....

btw ..... it's always beautiful in Coolum ...... unlike ugly country Victoria.

I think you'll find that Jeff the dinosaur is macca's younger brother. And Coolum is just the name of Hooly's mental institution.

Robin Williams' ashes scattered at sea: report

According to TMZ.com, Williams' body was cremated a day after he died and his ashes were scattered in San Francisco Bay.

The TMZ report says details of the cremation were on Williams' official death certificate, issued in Marin County, where the actor was found dead.

The Oscar-winning actor was found dead at his his home in Tiburon, California on August 11. Williams' death came after a long struggle with depression and a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, according to his widow, Susan Schneider.

Advertisement Authorities are still waiting for the results of a toxicology test before an official cause of death is announced.

On Monday Williams will receive a special tribute at the Emmy Awards, to be delivered by his old Comic Relief cohost Billy Crystal.

Crystal will pay tribute to Williams during the In Memoriam segment of the awards, when TV performers and professionals who died over the last year are remembered through small clips of their work.

Crystal has remained silent on Williams' death since tweeting, "No words," on the day of his death.

Emmys executive producer Don Mischer announced Crystal's participation in the awards on Wednesday at the red carpet rollout. Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will also perform during the montage.

Crystal, Williams and Whoopi Goldberg together hosted the Comic Relief series of fundraising comedy telethons that aired semi-regularly between 1986 and 2010.

Crystal and Williams also costarred in the 1997 comedy Father's Day.

Henry Rollins' 'disdain' for Robin Williams gets panned on social media
Music Movies Date August 22, 2014 - 3:50PM

'They cancel themselves out in my mind' ... Henry Rollins' harsh view on suicide.

Punk icon, actor and writer Henry Rollins is facing a withering backlash across all media for a harsh but typically uncompromising blog criticising Robin Williams' suicide.

Rollins, the former lead singer of underground punk act Blag Flag and most recently found mainstream fame with a role in the HBO series Sons of Anarchy, attacked Williams mainly because he left three children behind.

"How in the hell could you possibly do that to your children?" Rollins wrote in an inflammatory comment piece in Thursday's LA Weekly.

"I don't care how well adjusted your kid might be — choosing to kill yourself, rather than to be there for that child, is every shade of awful, traumatic and confusing ... as soon as you have children, you waive your right to take your own life ... it should be your utmost goal not to traumatize your kids."

Williams committed suicide at hoime in California last week aged 63.

Rollins, 53, wrote that Williams was "a good man" and that he admired some of Williams' work - he found Good Will Hunting "brave and excellent work" - but apparently believes people mainly grieved for the comedian because he was well known.

"When someone with this level of exposure dies in this way, it is confusing. An Oscar-winning actor, well-paid, with a career that most performers could only dream of — how could anyone so well regarded and seemingly fortunate have as much as even a single bad day, much less a life so unendurable that it has to be voluntarily voided?"

Rollins is well known for his at-times brilliant but no-holds-barred spoken word performances. But in cold hard text, some of his observations on suicide just looked plain cold. Take this: "When someone negates their existence, they cancel themselves out in my mind. I have many records, books and films featuring people who have taken their own lives, and I regard them all with a bit of disdain."

Rollins wrote of personally knowing people who had taken their lives and despite admitting "I am no doctor" offered the advice: "Life isn't anything but what you make it."

"For all the people who walked from the grocery store back to their house, only to be met by a robber who shot them in the head for nothing — you gotta hang in there."

Then, with almost stunning insensitivity, Rollins closed his blog with this: "I have life by the neck and drag it along. Rarely does it move fast enough. Raw Power forever."

Reaction on social media to Rollins' opinion piece was swift and almost universally damning. A handful of fans said Rollins had sparked debate about suicide but most commenters were offended. For a man who so often treads the right side of a fine line on controversial topics, this time it seems Rollins' good judgement has failed him.

Hmmmmm.  Maybe Rollins is speaking for the silent majority ??
But then, we all know I am insensitive.
I feel for the friend who has just been diagnosed with inoperable oesophagus cancer , with subsiduaries all thru the body, and given 3 months max, no matter what treatment she chooses.  This is her outcome, at 70 , after a life of hard work, raising 4 kids with her hubby,  and finally got to retire at 65 and do the grey nomad thing with her devoted husband of 50 years.
I see her striving to live to Christmas for her 7 grandkids and 2 great grandkids, taking chemo that is doing such terrible things to her, and making her so so sick.
But she would sell her soul just to live.
So I can find common ground with this bloke, Rollins, because Williams could get treatment for Parkinsons.  With his money and fame it would have been no drama at all.  My mate,s Mum lived with Parkinsons for over 30 years.  And she didnt have the money and recognition Williams did.
Using Parkinsons for what he did is just a lame excuse.

So the 2014 VMAs are well underway and you'd have to say we are lacking OMG moments so far, certainly nothing to compare to Miley's Twerkageddon last year... Nicki Minaj's dress almost collapsing was the nearest we've had so far.

But we are severely in need of some much trashier viewing, this is all too PG compared to previous years. We'd even take an ALS ice bucket on Jay Pharoah right now. Especially Jay.

Robin Williams tribute up - backed by Coldplay's A Sky Full of Stars... Hang on TECHNICAL FAIL!! Coverage has dropped out...

Time factor now relevant...

Looks like the Robin Williams tribute will be cut now.

That is modern art.

A live Robin would have had a field day with it.

MTV’s tribute to Robin Williams at the Video Music Awards has been slammed and labelled ‘offensive’

HORDES of angry viewers have taken to Twitter in a tizz over a slapped-together tribute to actor Robin Williams at the MTV Video Music Awards.

In the middle of today’s glitzy ceremony hosted in Los Angeles, an extremely short video reel of pictures of Williams was played.

HOT AND NOT: The best and worst of the MTV VMAs red carpet
It was set to the Coldplay song “A Sky Full Of Stars” and lasted a mere 20 seconds. Just six images in total were used.

Viewers immediately took to Twitter to express their outrage at the “offensive” blink-and-you’ll-miss-it montage, which some compared to a Powerpoint slide show.

Williams was found dead in his California home on August 11. His passing shocked the entertainment industry.

Australian viewers missed almost all of the controversial tribute all together when the broadcast inexplicably dropped out and was replaced with a black screen.

Comment has been sought from MTV Australia.

That "tribute" to Robin Williams tells you everything you need to know about this show. It would have been less insulting to do nothing.
