Ansolutely flew in the G3 Manion Cup (2400m). Ran home nicely. Hopefully no issues with the 32ppm in the Sydney Cuo, but all going well so far.

What's the 32 parts per million about Jamal?

Be great to see her over 2 miles, she'll relish it.

Sorry mate...a typo from me. I meant to say "3200m".

Cheers.

Just adds to what is shaping as a very strong Sydney Cup.

Is she straight there or will she run in the Chairman's?

She was a very tired bunny rabbit at the end of that race.

Is Realm Of Flowers a certainty to get a start in the final field of the Sydney Cup? Drops to 50kg in the Sydney Cup if a start is possible.

Continuing her campaign in Melb next month.

Mare Realm Of Flowers was luckless when fifth in last Saturday's Sydney Cup and after returning to Victoria this week, she has another big aim in sight with next month's $400,000 Andrew Ramsden Stakes (2800m) on her agenda.

"She's just come back down to Pinecliff this morning," Freedman said. "We are going to the Ramsden with her. If she got a soft track on that day, she could certainly be figuring in the finish.

Super win by this SYT mare Clap

Secures herself a Melb Cup spot, if she’s fit & well come the Spring.

I did hear something about keeping her ticking over during the winter, irrespective of whether she won today.  So maybe the 3200m Brisbane Cup next month is on the agenda too.

Gee Persan made me so happy with his run last year and now will have Realm of Flowers to run this year - well hopefully things go well.  Hope she comes through into the later part of the season.

I’d never have a bet on the Melb Cup as early as May.  Would generally wait for the entry list.

Good luck with the $86 ticket on her Jamal.  She’ll only get better into her 5yo season, but time will tell if she’s up to Melb Cup level.

BTW Jamal, hope you’ve congratulated djebel on finding this horse for the forum?  He deserves kudos for starting a thread & predicting big things for her before her first start.  Impressive!

I see your point but not sure Djebel deserves credit, he hypes up a lot of horses so its only by default that he created a thread about Realm Of Flowers.

Really ?

I thought there was a touch of brilliance about her today.

She was every bit as impressive as the other two 2800m stakes winners overnight.

I believe she needs far too much in her favour to ever be a genuine G1 winning chance, not the least, having a clear, unimpeded run to build & maintain momentum. Not a wet tracker either but needs cut in the ground to fully let down.

a great way to finish a 2800m off Djebel even if she had all the galloping room she wanted, unlike in the sydney cup, and if she gets into the cup would be a real chance imo
those that know me personally have been earbashed about her since she was one of my 14picks from the 2018 sales, including elvis (excelleration) warning, merited (all stks performers) in all 14 selections 9 winners from 12 raced 2 sw and one sp i am pretty chuffed about dat

change is simply a destination on a journey reached by taking the first step (i said that) lol

As a very rough guess,  what weight would she get in the Melbourne Cup?

This is very similar to your 'who is on Surprise Baby for the Melbourne Cup? I'm on at $1001' post after he qualified via the Bart Cummings.

Have a feeling it would not have mattered who won today we would have got a post similar to the above, just with the names changed.

Fair call LH, good spotting by djebel, its always nice to follow these threads and see where the horse ends up, good or bad.

With a rating of 100 and and the unlikely influx of internationals she will not need to be a genuine group 1 winning chance.

I know its a long way out from Melbourne Cup day but would it be a good idea for the trainers and/or owners to approach Jamie Kah and ask her if she would like to ride Realm Of Flowers in the Melbourne Cup? I assume she should be able to make the weight for the Cup - let's assume it's in the range of 50kg to 52kg, plus as we all know Jamie is a very good rider.

Just a thought thats all. It wouldn't hurt for the connections to get on the front foot and chat to Jamie or her manager and discuss things.

You certainly were in fine form last night Jamal, the peak Jamal moment in the Andrew Ramsden thread and now this LOL

Of course djebel deserves some credit, he picks horses out on pedigree and he found this one before she had raced, as a stayer of the future, she's now holding a Melbourne Cup ticket.

Jealousy is indeed a curse...

Sam Freedman a few minutes ago "We'll pull her shoes & keep her ticking over at the stables.............."
How refreshing to hear of a notable stable recognising their feet need a break from shoes Clap
I also remember him saying at least 6mths ago, that a Caulfield winning filly or mare, trains bare & is only plated for race day.
