Race 1. I will be extremely disappointed if my hometown of Goulburn does not win this. Shelby Sixtysix, Private Agent and Ahead Start are the ones to isolate. No.3 Nicci trix and No.11 Nadaraja are the dangers. Main bet No.1 Ahead Start, save on No.10 Private Agent and No.3 Nicci Trix, while each way No.6 Shelby Sixtysix.

Race 2. Not sure here, maybe this is my lunch eating race for the day. For the record I have narrowed it down to No.4 Bigboyroy and No.7 Cisco Bay. 

Race 3. Again not sure here. The ratings have a clear top three raters here who are No.9 Big Surprise, No.2 Foxborough and No.10 Canyonero. No bet for me in this race, unless I have a sensational start and am winning.

Race 4. Good luck here. No.1, No.3, No.9 and No.16 are the ones we have isolated as winning hopes. Some first uppers such as No.5 High Supremacy, No.10 Suave and No.14 cape Breton if here and No.15 Five Kingdoms (former Hayes) would not surprise. Main bet No.9 Super Effort, save on No.1 Rustic Steel and No.3 Soami and each way No.10 Suave and No.16 Hot Spring Gold. 

Race 5 Bill Ritchie Quality. Not sure he can back it up, but No.3 Aramayo was sensational last start behind Zaaki, and he is the clear top rater. No.5 Private Eye dropped in his rating last start, but he can bounce back although I would now prefer him at 1600m. I thought No.1 Archedemus ran well last start in a hot form race and he looks really well placed here, although his form at Randwick is atrocious. No.11 Atishu is on the up and she can run well, but she has found a very very solid group 3 to kick off her black type career. All three of the four year old mares can run well but again they meet a solid field here. I will leave our international form experts to tell us about No.2 Numerian. Main bet No.3 Aramayo, save on No.5 Private Eye and each way No.1 Archedemus.  

Race 6 Tea Rose Stakes. We have narrowed it down to four hopes here. No.4 Mallory, No.5 Robodira, No.6 Latino Blend and No.1 Four Moves Ahead. All four should enjoy the 1400m and it looks to be run of the race stuff that will determine their chances. Main bet No.5 Robodira, save on No.4 and No.1 and each way No.6 Latino Blend.

Race 7 George Main Stakes. I have this down to two winning hopes, No.7 Verry Elleegant and No.2 Think It Over. All the other runners have something which makes them vulnerable, Kolding not racing as well as last year. Cascadian needs to win a WFA race before we back him. Hungry heart and Lion's Roar are 4yo's and need to win one of these while the others Star Of The Seas, Riodini and Shout The Bar need a career best to win this. Main bet No.7 Verry Elleegant and save on No.2 Think It Over.

Race 8 The Shorts. Now anyone complaining about the quality of this field does not know what they are talking about. No.1 Nature Strip was awesome fresh and he usually improves second up. No.2 Eduardo is the one best suited at 1100m and he will be in front for a long way. No.3 Gytrash and No.7 Lost And Running are the ones who will be just behind pace ready to pounce while Rothfire at his best is right in this. No.4 Masked Crusader is the one who will be last and coming fast, but maybe the 1200m will suit him better. Main bet No.2 Eduardo, save on No.1 Nature Strip and each way No.3 Gytrash.

Race 9 Kingston Town Stakes. Five winning hopes here. No.2, No.3, No.4, No.5 and No.14. I like She's Ideel who is well placed distance and weight wise here. No.3 Montefillia ran well fresh, and I think she can run well but her rating can drop second up. If he had drawn better No.4 Spirit Ridge would have been a good bet here and No.2 Kukeracha now third up and No.5 Shared Ambition ran well enough fresh to be competitive here. Main bet No.14 She's Ideel, save on No.4 Spirit Ridge and i will also save on No.2 Kukeracha.

Race 10. Okay what do we do here. Do we go with those who have good recent form or those who have better form but who have not shown it for a while. Main bet No.3 Marway, save on No.12 Equation and each way No.13 Mo's Crown, No.14 Geist and No.17 Shaik. I am also a sucker for No.9 Mamaragan and at the price I have to back him each way to satisfy my addiction.
