Impulsar a narrow but worthy winner at his first Australian start at Sandown today.  Well related and you'd think one to follow.

Not something you see every day

Impressive alright, Rightfully Yours won a listed race at Caulfield the day his full little brother Heart of Dreams won the Group 1 Underwood Stakes, All Too Hard won the Listed Talindert the same day his famous half sister won a Group 1 Lightning, the two having an impressive family autumn the year after that, with the colt grabbing the CF Orr and Futurity double with Black Caviar grabbing the Lightning on the Saturday splitting these wins and later in the carnival they combined to win the TJ Smith-All Aged double.

I'm sure the connections of the siblings you mention would love theirs to go somewhere near either of these LOL

It certainly isn't! Great spot Shawy, I'm sure Alpine Eagle will continue to kick goals above his very modest (understandably) stud fee Clap
Thanks for the added info too, Afros Thumbs Up

Race 1 No 4 - Silver Canvas

Struck me as a horse that would improve into his second preparation.  Solid first up run over 1300m & should improve its fitness for the 1590m race today.

I dunno , racing on the synthetic at the Rat ' today can be a tough job if your horse can't go early , but to ask some of these horses to carry 64-5 KG to boot is over the top imo , of course you can claim to reduce the burden , but why does it have to be that high in the first place . Cry

My thinking exactly why is that? I saw a McEvoy horse that had won it's maiden by a half length and was carrying 63.5!

Rosalia ultra impressive winning by 8 lengths today at Ballarat.  Has apparently been a real head-job having played up awfully at her prior start.

Could certainly be one to follow if she continues to learn, and it'd be great if Paddy Payne could find another city class performer.

Bernadette's baby Wink The old fella said she's had trouble recovering from a spider bite & was lame last week on the way to the gates, hence her scratching. Whatever they did or didn't do in between, sure worked well Clap

So many horses coming off that rubbish surface at Ballarat and running well/or winning at Pakenham today.

Michael Walker compared his horses last run to being hit in the face by rocks for both horse and rider.

The Pakenham track is fabulous in comparison.

Thanks djebel, so simple in the hands of an expert. Very common injury with treadmills on a too steep incline.
