Yay! A weather thread! Thanks Dr Carl
I love hearing about what the weather is doing in other parts of the Village. And furious and aa and I can complain about the cold/rain/heat as much as we like without going off topic! (I had the ski socks and Ugg boots on this morning, furious)

Re. the ECL - I’m watching it, mate. The Weather Nerd says it’s too early to call it (unlike the mainstream media ) as some models are downgrading. And I personally don’t have the Flood Feels - but yes aa, I’m prepping just in case. Winter floods are most unpleasant; do not recommend.

My uggs are glued to me feet, Ponies . Only come off to shower and bed. Thinking of buying some thermals too. When I came home from overseas I brought some leg warmers with me, and they never got used so they went to the op shop, but by gee I wish I had them now . Bloody tap busted thru the night and drained most of the hot water away before we heard it, so looking forward to a cold shower. Our water heater is off peak. The dam here has just settled down after the floods and we dont need any more water. The yard is bare of grass, just pretty much mud if you walk on it. Think I will just have to move into the pub and sit by their big blazing fire , until spring comes.

Remember the 80s leg warmers? The best! Especially with some gold lurex woven in I’d die without thermals - even wear them under fleecie trackies And highly recommend anything Sherpa. Plus hibernation in the pub

We already have extra SES and others deployed here in town tonight. People who live below the dam are worried. Last week it turned 100 years old, and to the best of our knowing, very little work has been done on it since. There is supposed to be a warning system in place for those along the river, but as of that last heavy rain, when Taree and Kempsey got smashed, and the locals had to evac, no one got any warning at all. Its raining now, the dam is full, and the ground saturated. I am so lucky we live on a hill away from the river, as long as the dam holds.

We thought it was a bit pricey, compared to other tours, but the location was a deciding factor. After having gone on the trip, we can honestly say it’s worth every penny. Kat, our tour guide, was delightful. She was knowledgeable about so many different topics. The trip included admission to Scenic World, the Sydney zoo, lunch, bus to the Blue Mountains and to the ferry back to Sydney Harbour. Kat also drove us around to stops we wouldn’t have been able to get to if we had taken the train, including a tour of the Olympic Village. We give this tour five stars and two thumbs up. It was amazing. We can’t recommend it enough.

Yes didn't get my shoulder ache for a couple of days so really enjoyed it! Also the puppy is a digger. We locked the back gate so they only have the run for outside (they are inside dogs) but she found a lovely place to dig there anyway. But she was digging up my grass which cost me a fortune a couple of years ago and I can't let her do that. Trouble I had a mouth biopsy (no bending today) and son looks like he has a hernia and told to take it easy. Daughter who owns the little one is out so we're disobeying orders already. She is a minx - but needs a walk and her Mum wont be back till late!

Furious I am starting to get a dodgy shoulder too, it's been getting worse now for a few weeks, certain days it's ok and others it hurts all day.
Now on this rain in Sydney, last night I was one of only a few cars to make it down Wattle street, the road that takes you along Wenty dogs, there was about 4 to 6 water fountains where the mains burst through the road and water shooting up around 4 feet in the air, plus the rain, most of the Ubers, Camry's and sedans had given up, were parked off to the side on an angle, some up on the kerb, couldn't make it.
Well it was pretty crazy as you couldn't see the road at all, just like driving down a river.
I ploughed through slowly as water was nearly half way up to my door. I have never seen water like that in Sydney before, I was so close to abandoning my journey but the Subaru, hell yeah, boy it was heroic going through 3 feet of flooding water and burst water mains.

We're safe here in Bendigo at the moment, though yesterday was brutal with 36 degrees and 50km gusting winds followed by 35 and strong winds again today.
If we had zoom you could view me in a tea shirt and jockey briefs as I post this.

Trust me everyone. I’ve seen it! In the middle of winter!
Hopefully winter’s “shrinkage” disappears with the warmer weather. 😀👍

How's it going villagers?
Hot as frickin' hell up here. Just hosed the horses, they've had sprinklers on all day but apparently I do it better
Hope all of you in the heatwave are staying cool, all of you up north are staying dry, and everyone is staying safe from bushfires!

BP, we’ve boxed a couple of yearling colts. Well, one colt who has needed some foot treatment and one, “Gabi”, who three days ago paid the ultimate price and is now a gelding.
37*C at the end of the day. We’d topped up their boxes with fresh sawdust but hadn’t wetted it down.
So while they were boxed we sprayed some water on the sawdust to dampen the dust.
The two, big, hero boys slunk back into the corner while we sprayed their box from the door. Dodging the water like ballerinas.
Funny boys 💕

Sorry, off thread a bit again.
We got back from lunch today and the boss said one of the colts had managed to chew open his yard, gate lock and was wandering around, chewing on the lucerne bale in his barn.
His half sister “Prevention” is having her first start at Werribee on Sunday.
Go Maggie!
