I dont know if i can name names here, but if you look in the weanlings and look at the results, there are some weanlings that went for big money that had no right to bring that... are they exchanging money through the sales?

Extremely fishy QA.
All those offered by Matthew Vella as agent sold for significant overs. Here're my assessments fwiw:
Lot 254: Sold price $45k, assessed value @ $25k
Lot 256: Sold price $80k, assessed value @ $20k
Lot 259: Sold price $50k, assessed value @ $20k
Lot 267: Sold price $75k, assessed value @ $5k
Lot 271: Sold price $40k, assessed value @ $5-10k.

Who is Equine Growth Fund? who purchased (if you can call it that) ALL the M Vella weanlings.
A number of them are going through the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale next month at Riverside. They are all going through from Cavallo Park Stud, North Richmond. So I'm thinking this is basically a 'put' a price to them so they can marketed them as XYZ value... ps... nobody with any clue will fall for it.

Last year only 5 of 304 were sold to Honkers so no apparent relevance to this scenario Plastics.
All these lots which've been entered for the Inglis Weanling sale are being offered by Cavallo Park Stud, though that entity presumably "sold" the lots in this particular Inglis Digital Sale.
Cavallo Park is currently being wound up following application by the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation, has had an Administrator appointed, and a meeting of creditors was held last month.
If we knew all the dots we could most likely join them.

If the tax man is winding you up, the last thing you’d do is to “bid up” your draft….

Exactly Rusty. And that's why we don't know all the dots as a means of joining them.
Maybe Equine Equity Growth who're the alleged purchasers could enlighten us.
In any event it all appears to becoming rather more malodorous.

Nah, I think the recent date you’re looking at,is when administrators were appointed , or winding up application was made..
IRT directors obligations, they are safe unless it’s a big number, and they are known to have assets….
It’s not commercial to chase unrecoverable debts.

Rusty, I have personal experience that an administrator can chase you through the courts, even if you have no assets and the likelihood is they’ll spend more in court than they can ever recover.
Didn’t end well for them thankfully.

Really?
That's very unusual.
I've seen plenty of open and shut cases, and the administrators interest has always been solely dependent on whether they'll get paid for their efforts.
Maybe in the case you mention, there was a narky creditor funding them externally of the company assets.

When the friends moved out to E K Rd it was beautiful. All large lots with a few horses and gardens etc. By the time they sold and moved to Kew/Kendal way most of it had been turned into a not so pleasant area. People who bought next door raced dirt bikes round and round the paddock right next to their house all day long and at weekends all their friends came and added to the noises. At night big wild barbies which ended up with fireworks. No good for horses and their dog. It was really changing, and not for the best. They had a lovely big garden and just been there long enough to get some trees up a bit.
We drove past there awhile ago and its now a market garden right to the road, all the trees been knocked down, and the house looks a shambles. Bit like a Nairobi slum really. Such a shame the city is reaching out further all the time.

He was warned off NSW racecourses in 2009 before that was overturned.

Pardi time as ‘sophisticated investors’ pounce on top-priced foal
https://thestraight.com.au/author/warwick-barr/" rel="nofollow - - May 06, 2025
A Too Darn Hot colt has delivered on hype and expectation after selling for an auction-topping $775,000 at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale.
The sister of Too Darn Lizzie sold for a record $775.000. (Photo: Inglis)
Eclipsing the record sale price of $650,000 paid on Monday for a Stay Inside filly, the colt was the star foal on the second day of selling with Equine Growth Fund the winning bidder.
Stefan Pardi, who secured a filly by The Autumn Sun for $280,000 during the first session, signed for the colt, a brother to Group 2 winner Too Darn Lizzie, on behalf of the fund.
“It's a model of sophisticated investors that I have on board - 10 to 20 of them,” Pardi said.
“I have an appetite to pinhook. I've been successful over the last couple of years doing it. We all put our money together, and we just try to find the right ones.
“We're buying them mostly at the top end, so that's really what I do. Just a cool bunch of people with a cool bunch of money, and we go from there.”
Pardi is back in the game after having a Racing NSW ban lifted over his involvement in several thoroughbred-related companies
He was warned off NSW racecourses in 2009 before that was overturned.
“It was a very, very dark time in my life, and I’ve certainly cleaned that act up a long time ago, or I wouldn’t be here,” Pardi told members of the bloodstock media.
A bay colt praised for his temperament as one of the most inspected weanlings on the ground at Riverside, the sale is likely to trigger a monumental week for his blue-blooded family.
His dam, the Magnus mare Enbihaar, and Too Darn Lizzie will be among the eagerly anticipated Lots to go through the Inglis Chairman’s Sale on Thursday night.
They will also be consigned by Widden Stud.
“Well, that was another key element to buying here. I think (Too Darn Lizzie) … she's going to make good money,” Pardi said.
“The family's outstanding, anyway.”
Pardi signed for $1.235 million worth of bloodstock from three lots purchased across the two days.
Enbihaar will be offered in foal to Widden’s champion sire Zoustar.
Too Darn Lizzie comes off the racetrack after winning the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude before finishing in the minor placing in the Group I Thousand Guineas for high-profile owner Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Webber raced Too Darn Hot and he paid $1 million for Too Darn Lizzie via agent Johnny McKeever at the 2023 Magic Millions sale to help kick-start the stallion’s career in Australia.

rusty nails wrote:

That would make sense IF the weanlings were of actual real value, most passed in at the weanling sale after being sold online.
Posted By: Second Chance
Date Posted: 15 May 2025 at 7:11pm
Now the following is probably unrelated to this particular issue, however:
What we increasingly see is that a few syndicators offer say 1,000 shares in a horse for next to nothing, eg (a) "Secure a small share in XXX for just $100 and average monthly fees of $10", or
(b) "Secure a small share in XXX for just $300 no more to pay*".
Horse (a) may only be worth half the stated value (1,000 x $100) however the value is verifiable (on the basis of a bogus sale price) and hey, it's not much money so why not climb on board. And the monthly fee of $10 is neither here nor there, though in point of fact it's far more than training fees etc and includes a management fee of $3 which equates to $3,000 per month for the syndicator thank you very much.
And the scenario in (b) is the same if different. The additional $200 "no more to pay" returns $200,000 up front to the syndicator much of which he can invest and which is almost certainly more than on-going costs for the racing life of the prospective galloper.
Though one hastens to say that similar low-cost, multiple part-owner offerings may well be entirely above board.
* extraordinary costs excepted

Just gets more and more interesting this lot.
Cavallo and now a new vendor - Bella Jane Lodge - both selling weanlings in the inglis digital just gone,
A listing of each - check the wording, they are the same vendor.
Between them they had a total of 7 listings, all sold for 20k+ for weanlings that shouldnt have brought anymore than 5k.
All bought by a different buyer, but weird names.

Very interesting indeed, quiz!
You’ve just reminded me that I’ve recently seen multiple ads from Cavallo seeking staff for breaking in and pre-training roles. Must have a lot of young horses on their books

Good call again QA.
Yep, none of the offerings worth even a fraction of their "selling" prices, and all sold to never-before known purchasers.
Heaven knows where all this is going.

To me it seems like a money laundering scheme. Or passing money or something.
I dont know whether Inglis should have their attention brought to them or what?

Seriously they are taking the p#$s or something...
Let's say Inglis better "watch" out as they mIght be in the sights of money laundering authorities.
Get a load of the purchasers of the Bella Jane horses:
Jaeger & Co. Bloodstock
Breguet Ridge Bloodstock
Cartier Chase Bloodstock
Piaget Court Bloodstock
Chopard Downs
Blancpain Gate
Zenith Crown
IWC Row Bloodstock
EVERY one (first name, not the extension) is a Swiss watch brand!!!

FWIW have emailed Inglis Digital and wondered about two particular vendors continually selling to a host of entities, all of which have watch brands as a part of their names.
Don't really expect a response.

I’m very curious as to what’s going on but yes, I doubt a response will be coming. Shocked in fact

Well done SC. A little bit of light shone on some shady dealings will either illuminate…or send it further underground.
I hope it’s the former.

This is worth quoting so we don’t lose it - well found, pnc! Friggin hilarious Also friggin disturbing. Who is allowing this, and why?
And well done, SC - the industry needs to know the watchdogs are watching (another shocker, I know )

Below is part of what I sent to Inglis. I now note without comment that nine entries on account of Matt Vella in the Aug Early offerings were all withdrawn from sale.
It appears interesting that offerings by three particular vendors are being sold on the digital platform for apparent "overs", and all are being knocked down to a series of entities every one of which have watch brands as part of their names.
The slight possibility that Inglis might be an unwitting party to money laundering was one thought that did come to mind.

Since Inglis Digital have updated their platform, does anyone know where I can find past sales results?
