Obviously has been removed, can I ask why?
Brooke and I were having a discussion without any name calling etc (as far as I could see), it obviously went bad this afternoon or this evening, can anyone shed any light as to what happened.

Pretty amazing program last night as this SAS/war crimes stuff is moving along, singling out Ben Roberts-Smith for scrutiny.

This after the disturbing footage of an unprovoked killing of a civilian, excused by the Army in an internal investigation which totally blied the facts of the murder:
"War hero" Ben Roberts-Smith interviewed by police over alleged killing
The Australian Federal Police has interviewed former SAS soldier Ben Roberts-Smith over allegations he kicked an Afghan prisoner off a cliff in a serious development in the long-running saga involving Australia’s most decorated Afghan veteran. Legal sources confirmed that the federal police recently requested Mr Roberts-Smith to attend a formal interview to respond to allegations made by special forces insiders that https://www.theage.com.au/link/follow-20170101-p52pys" rel="nofollow - he kicked a detainee off a cliff in September 2012 . In September, The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald https://www.theage.com.au/link/follow-20170101-p52pys" rel="nofollow - revealed that an AFP taskforce was investigating Mr Roberts-Smith over allegations he kicked a handcuffed and innocent detainee, Ali Jan, off a cliff in the village of Darwan in September 2012. The Darwan taskforce has obtained co-operation from SAS witnesses and support staff willing to testify on oath against the decorated soldier. A https://www.theage.com.au/link/follow-20170101-p53jpu" rel="nofollow - second police investigation is looking into allegations Mr Roberts-Smith is implicated in the summary execution of a man at a compound in southern Afghanistan in April 2009.

There would be a lot of evidence surrounding the situations of the time.
Our military weren't sure at times , who the active enemy were.
Not good to jump to conclusions. If in doubt = take em out ,may well have been the battlefield motto.

Probably a scoop that Rupert Reaper Murdoch is the anti-Christ.
Oh sorry I think I heard something about Teflon Angus Taylor and his boss asking the energy companies nicely to lower prices to make them look good.
Many options.
To answer the query, any show that has or had Liz Hayes reporting is not hard hitting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Branch stacking doesn't always work out though. Remember in 2018 when they tried to roll Tony Abbott in his Warringah pre-selection standing an empty chair against him and bringing out numbers to support the chair. Didn't succeed though, the empty chair only got 38%.

PT, you are up to your old trick of deflecting from the content . In this case the corruption of the Andrews ALP government. As this has been exposed by Channel 9 and The Age newspaper, both of whom lean to the left, you would have to agree the Socialist government of Andrews is corrupt to the bone.

Branch stacking looks simple to eradicate. You can't vote in pre-selections unless you have attended loads of boring branch meetings - 20 in 2 years - something like that.
Do they have attendance rules for voting rights?

It is all ridiculous. I have been to many pre-selection meetings and you are lucky to have 30-40 people there. 5-10 on normal branch meetings. Not too hard to stack those sort of numbers.
I dont think the issue in this case is the actual stacking, but the funding of the stackees.

PT, you have made that word up, the closest I could get to it in the Macquarie Dictionary was "stacked" which is defined colloquially as "a buxom woman" , is that by whom ALP branch meetings are stacked ?

A "stacked deck" is a device to give a player an unfair advantage in a card game, similarly branch stacking is designed to give an unfair advantage in a vote.

I don’t normally watch 60 minutes, but The story about this Blue Mountains circus mob is a mind boggling flustercluck from the Charlie Hoppers in NSW.
Surely there’s more to it than what we’re seeing. There had to be something driving the investigation behind the scenes.

False allegations are some deranged peoples specialty.
The case sure looked like that from the start . The tender age of the children , the impossible acts the accused described . Police owe the accused more than these people got before the outlandish , over the top, response.
Katoomba is known for the odd breeds who inhabit the area . that was where the Bulk of the 1700 inmates of Bloomfield Psychiatric Centre were dumped when it closed , many years ago .... THEY BREED LIKE RABBITS.

I remember my bullsh1t detector going crazy the first time I read about the case. It's another Pell like case where scepticism as the standard operating procedure of the police and the DPP, and parts of the judiciary, has been replaced with belief - we believe you we believe you we believe you. Believe it or not, that is being drummed into cops these days.

I mean stone the bloody crows, is there no one in the whole criminal investigative process these days with any hard-nosed evidence-based scepticism? What about the psychologist interviewing the two coached kiddies? As their stories got ever wilder and more contradictory did they never smell thebullsh1t? Where did this happen, kids? Where was your mother at the time? Who were the other kids involved in the satanic rituals? We believe you, despite all evidence to the contrary. Fairdinkum.

I think it is a reaction to "pedophile hysteria", which pervades society, that leads all sorts of people to default to believing an accused over an accuser, in such cases, because to do otherwise, would be seen to take sides with the "worst of the worst". Whilst any crime against children is to be condemned, I really think in a lot of cases of assumption of guilt of such crimes, there is some heavy-duty psychology at work, where such errant impulses, are projected, less than consciously, on to others. Exporting the "evil" on to a likely carrier. I recall an old pedophile when released at an advanced age from jail, was in lodgings that were besieged by hordes of people, many or most of a noticeably feral nature, I'd have taken odds-on, that amongst that group were offenders of the same ilk, who saw him as a focus they could project their own unruly impulses on, anything other than admit to themselves they had the same impulses, and likely had acted upon them, but wanted to disown it. That many people seem unable to draw a sharp distinction between the "garden" variety of child sex offender, and those who murder children after abusing them, says that cool thinking is not the order of the day, with this issue.

Why do Psychologists earn such importance in assessing everything form needs of the Aged, to Sexual Crime , especially involving children . Witness and guessing on likely re offending.
Given positions of power along those lines .
They have no power to prescribe or physically examine . Hard to measure what ( if any) contribution they make to Medical assessments at all. I noted they were good at extending "cuppa Tea" breaks by hours . Always puzzled me .

| The accuser's own notes, submitted as evidence, mentioned that at one point the kids changed their stories. But, after much "contemplation, prayer and cuddling"... that's a direct quote... they confirmed their original version of events.
Surely you've got to do some vetting of the witness???
For christ sake, the brief stated that the kid had been picked up off the ground by his little fella. That the accused had used his teeth to do it.

As I said, there is a LOT more to this story.
It seemed as though the programme was holding back a little, as though there is a serial-type show in the works.
I think we'll come to find that there are a few too many politicians in the police ranks. As Max mentioned, this case was made public at the height of the pedo hysteria that was created by the Pell case. A situation all too appealing to the trophy hunter types that permeate the queues for unelected officialdom.
