Nothing precious about my lot, we've been through everything, like water off a ducks back.

Tough as teak our lot. We don't take money from sports washing oil conglomerates either.

You wanna see precious supporters cry and moan, head over to Arsenal TV, they are some of the biggest cry babies in the league..LOL

Man Utd supporters not precious?

Case in point, FC United of Manchester, a club formed by Man Utd fans in who considered themselves as hard done by as the fans who formed AFC Wimbledon.

Your fans also routinely whinge that the club isn't challenging for titles every single season, thinking they have some kind of birthright to be at the top every single season.

You may not be owned by oil conglomerates but your club are the club who turned the game into the financial arms race it is today, forcing other clubs to try find owners with financial clout to be able to compete.

United and Ipswich played out a 1 all draw at Ipswich, United's new coach Amorim was pretty quiet on the sidelines for the most part, even when Rashford scored at the 3 min mark he wasn't too enthused, he was a bit animated towards the back end of the game when trying to get his players to push up and get a late winner. Off to a steady start, Ipswich played amazing and if it weren't for United's keeper Onana they could have won 4-1.

Looks like my boys Wolves are starting to turn the season around after switching to a back 3. Disastrous start but looking much better recently.

Spurs have some crazy figure this season:

27:13 has them leading the scoring by 3!

And the GD of 14 is 2nd.

But they are 6th!

Son has only 3 goals (due to 6 games injured).

So if things start get rational they have a decent hope of a Top 4 finish.

The price rises have infuriated supporters. MUST reacted by issuing a statement which read: “This means that for an adult member to take their kid to a game in the remainder of this season will cost £132. Well over double the minimum price they could pay to do it today. And this change is happening overnight, immediately.

Manchester United of course.

The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) also criticised the club for failing to consult fans on a move that eliminates concessions for children and over-65s.

Prices across the 20 teams for the 2024-25 season range between £58 ($75) and £85 ($111), with the most common price at £80 ($104). Tottenham Hotspur have priced themselves at the very top of the market, with Chelsea the only other team to price above £80 ($104).5 Sept 2024

LiverpoolEvertonManchester United and Manchester City supporters will join forces this weekend to protest against rising Premier League ticket prices.

Fans of the four clubs will put rivalries aside to show their support for the Football Supporters’ Association’s #StopExploitingLoyalty campaign.

United and Everton fans will come together to protest outside Old Trafford before Sunday’s 1.30pm kick-off (UK time). Liverpool and City supporters will do likewise prior to the 4pm kick-off at Anfield with banners being displayed both inside and outside the grounds.

Organisers say it is a response to rising ticket prices and the erosion of concessionary rates. Earlier this week it emerged that United were removing discounted rates for children and seniors with some tickets increasing from £25 to £66.

There is also growing concern that some clubs are targeting the £30 cap on away tickets — despite the Premier League’s broadcast and commercial revenue rising by 17 per cent to £12.25billion for 2025 t0 2028.

“It’s time for clubs to remember that their wealth and success are built on the unwavering loyalty of their supporters,” says Gareth Roberts, spokesman for Liverpool supporters’ union Spirit of Shankly.

“That passionate support that fuels the creation of flags and banners, of songs, and vocal backing, comes from generational commitment to the cause. That support is being threatened by the price of football — from tickets to TV subscriptions, even down to the prices of food and drink on the concourse.

“Raising prices when financial pressures on fans are at an all-time high is an insult. We’re proud to unite with fans from Manchester in this campaign to fight for fairness.”

MCFC Fans Foodbank Support spokesperson Nick Clarke adds: “There’s been increasing animosity between City and Liverpool fans in recent years due to the rivalry on the pitch so we’re incredibly proud to stand together on this important issue.

“Tribalism holds football fans back from addressing the real threats to the game we built – working-class fans are being priced out before our eyes. We can reverse this trend.”

The show of solidarity will start at Old Trafford on Sunday with fans meeting at the Trinity Statue at 12:30pm.

A spokesman for United fan group FC58 says: “The rivalry between these four clubs has been and is fierce. But we all go to games, love our club and want to keep football affordable for future generations while protecting heritage and communities. The only way we can achieve this is collaboration. This is our first step. This movement will grow.”

Dave Kelly, from Everton Fans Supporting Foodbanks, adds: “The cost of living crisis becomes ever greater.

“With children going to school hungry, parents skipping meals and the cost of match tickets out of reach to some of the most passionate and loyal fans in our communities.

“This isn’t about the colour of the shirt or the badge upon the chest. It’s about the future of the beautiful game, protecting and making it affordable for all fans.”

Whilst the PSR/FFP rules remain as they are, all clubs are going to push wherever they can to increase revenue to allow more spending on players so its only natural that all clubs are going to increase ticket prices wherever they can.

It is laughable however how fiddles continues to try convince himself that Man Utd are the puritans of the Premier League, given they are the club that ultimately turned it from a sport into a business.

I'm not saying anything, I just laugh at the constant attempts to paint the club as some sort of evil football overlords, its hilarious between you and Tlaz it's comedic.

If the hardcore soccer fans had any brains they would boycott the games en masse. To show the owners how much games played in empty stadiums are worth.

Wasn't Ten Hag going to do that 18 months ago?

Although I suppose, just as the present political situation in the USA shows, if you throw enough money at something you'll win eventually.

Leicester city's new manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who was United's caretaker manager recently, wins his first game as new manager against West Ham 3-0.

Interestingly his last game as caretaker manger for United was a win in the Carabao cup against Leicester. He is taking that priceless United winning spirit with him wherever he goes..Clap

Van Nistelrooy is an ex united player from 2001 to 2006 scoring 150 times in that time.

Van Nistelrooy said that although he was disappointed to leave United he quickly came to terms with his departure after amicable talks with Amorim and is ready to “work around the clock” to lift Leicester, who are a point above the Premier League relegation zone after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Brentford. The Dutchman left Old Trafford with his reputation enhanced, “astonished” at the spike in interest.

“I was disappointed, yeah, very much so, and it hurt that I had to leave,” the 48-year-old said. “The only job I would take as an assistant was at United because of the bond that I have with the people in the club and the fans. But in the end I got my head round it because I also understand the new manager. I spoke to Ruben about it, the conversation was grateful, man to man, person to person, manager to manager, and that helped a lot to move on and straightaway get into talks with new possibilities which of course lifted my spirits.”

Van Nistelrooy, appointed on a two-and-a-half-year contract after rounds of discussions in London with Leicester’s chairman, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, and the club’s director of football, Jon Rudkin, said the ultimate target for a team promoted as champions last season is survival. Leicester are 16th in the Premier League after a run of six games without a win and Van Nistelrooy said he is ready for a relegation scrap.

“I think I have to go back to my first three years of my playing days in the Dutch championship [Eerste Divisie] … many people forget about that,” he said. “They see ‘Real Madrid, Manchester United’, but my first three seasons in the Dutch second tier were with a club called FC Den Bosch, and my first season as a professional when I was 18 we were 18 of 18 [in the table]. So I know what it is to fight. I know what it is like when you have to fight for every result and where you have to work around the clock to get better, to improve, that’s what I always was like in my playing days and also managing. I don’t have a problem with that, growing up and getting better bit by bit. That’s how I am.”

Van Nistelrooy stressed he will prioritise results over style of play in his bid to pull Leicester clear of trouble, the Dutchman insisting he is not “the romantic type of manager”.

Asked about what supporters can expect from Leicester under his leadership, he replied: “I’m thinking of one thing before any game I prepare, and that’s winning. When you play top teams in the Premier League, mid-table teams or lower-ranked teams, it sometimes requires a different approach. The style of play is adjusted on: ‘How can we win here?’

He could be one the best managers in the PL if he works hard and keeps getting results, players seem to really respond to him, who knows if Amorim fails, we might see Ruud back at United as full time proper manager.

Everton are the lowest team in the PL of late, they are just awful, but..

they found a way to win last match scoring 4 goals.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and tip them to beat Liverpool tomorrow.

the are $6.50 outsiders and Liverpool are flying and haven't lost for ages. My theory is that Everton are at home and will carry a lot of confidence into this match and that could be just the right tonic to knock off Liverpool.

Initially I wanted to say thats crazy to suggest Everton will defeat Liverpool but then I remembered this will be the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, so Everton should be up for it.

Big one tomorrow morning our time for your lot as well Fiddler, the new manager will want a league win before the derby next week.

Big one for us as well, need to take all 3 points in fixtures like this if we want to be a top half side.
