It may have been the case that to use the patented process, the name "Coon" had to be on the label. certainly it was a household name for many years, and abandonment of the name for any reason, would have been a very poor business decision. Today of course it is just another brand in a sea of competition.

The decision on the name change of Coon is a backward one, so should it have been renamed Nooc cheese. Everybody would still remember it as Coon, just backwards. Nooc cheese anyone ?

It is a classic case of "if that's the worst you have to complain about, you ain't got much to complain about". I am completely jack of hearing people who are not even recognizably of indigenous extraction, banging on with their micro-grievances, all it does is reinforce the notion of a culture of whinging. No wonder I heard so many times in the past, the expression "ginning around", a reference to people over-occupying themselves with trivialities, it may indeed be part of the culture. How about a commitment from some of these people to prevail on young indigenes to desist from crime, in which they are very heavily over-represented. All I hear, is silence, on that front. The young take absolutely no notice of aboriginal elders, so what use is it, in talking about this culture and its elders ? If there are "problems" in race relations, and their certainly are, I am not buying this BS narrative that just one side has to take responsibility for it.

The silent majority line is always good for a laugh. No one has yet been able to explain how they are able to ascertain the opinion of people who are silent about their beliefs nor how they know they represent a majority of the population.

Seems the silent majority never shuts up bagging leftist social justice warriors and crying about their privilege being stripped from them.

They may not be silent in private conversation, E & E, noisy minorities that are sometimes right ( I would say the anti-Vietnam war marchers) and sometimes wrong ( BLM marches in Australia in the midst of COVID restrictions) are what makes the news. Most people I know would regard bleating about Coon cheese as laughable, and changing the name in response, as pandering.

Yes in private conversations they may voice their opinion. But then you are still talking about a minute sample of the population. These private conversations are not taking place between a group of millions of people. No one is going around ha I g private conversations conversations with thousands of people to the point where this kind of “silent majority” statement could be deemed to have any validity whatsoever. They may well represent the majority but no one knows that. It is simply guesswork.

I am talking about people who are fairly representative of the wider population, they regard complaints about Coon cheese as vexatious. Needless to say, those who wear their activism as a badge of honour (and aren't that fussy about the validity of the "cause") see it differently. You won't tell me that many people who get on board with this kind of stuff, are not rebels in search of a cause. They feel good about themselves, being more "culturally sensitive" and thus superior. I am more sensitive about the fact that indigenous criminal villains are vastly over-represented in crime stats, out of all proportion to their numbers, and you also won't convince me that the "culture" of pandering, has not made that much worse. It doesn't help anyone, except do-gooders wanting to feel morally superior. they don't give a sh1t about any collateral damage.

Imagine a life so free of worries, that you have the luxury of turning your mind to the "problem" of Coon cheese. As my old mum would have said, "they don't know they are born". Incidentally, I recall a few years ago the coupling "Kraft Cheeses" was the stuff of comedy, it sounding much like "Christ Jesus". In times gone by, such usage would have caused rage from the pulpit, now the only rage is the confected variety from this Hagen character.
