At the end of this Dec 2019 article:

JOHN LINGARD, the EDITOR of letsgohorseracing and RACING AROUND PTY LTD, the website publisher, has been a great fan of Phil Purser and what he has contributed to and achieved for the three codes of racing in Queensland. We have no hesitation in supporting his stand for WHIPS TO BE BANNED.

Brenden Sheehan. Had quite a history.

As for his writing, I will say there is often some truth in what he says but he has a habit of taking everything to an extreme.

I'll stand by him, never met the bloke, but he's got the gonads to stand up to this rubbish.

Having been a jockey, I agree with his summation in this mornings peterprofit musings, the stewards report on R2 at Casino is a fairytale, I was an average jockey back in the day, but even I couldn't ride that badly.

As for the film being doctored, well, we shall never know unless a forensic investigation is forthcoming and I reckon that wont happen.

Very interesting to note at the bottom of the stewards report it says 'an inquiry into betting on this race has begun'........

Brenden's story on R7 Cairns has merit, the stewards were onto it, that is hot as........what's not is McDonald only getting 3 weeks, what was it an error of judgement, my patience is wearing thin, racing is becoming a lawless and soulless place, no room for me and the missus shortly.

He does extrapolate beyond what can be supported by evidence, I have read elsewhere about "missing" footage of the race, but it was pointed out that the elapsed time of the race video, does not agree with the idea of any missing.

If there was anything missing it was so brief, and from those angels, nothing would be seen.

He seems convinced the rest of the video is gone. All the angles in their entirety are kept anyway, the "stewards" cut is just an easy single reference of them.

I can understand owners getting hot under the collar about dubious rides of their horses, but punters don't seem to factor that a "hot" ride may well result in your collecting on another horse, where otherwise you would not. I see suspect rides all the time, watching ones I've backed, you just move on to the next race.

You're obviously not an owner then Max.....I'm sick of it, I should be training my own, but fear I would lose my cool and let rip in the mounting yard.......

That's right, I am not an owner, and I don't feel greatly affected, for the reasons I gave.

Corruption has been rife in racing since year dot, we've been victims of it over the years and rolled with the punches, we've seen corrupt jocks trainers owners and stewards, training through Underbelly was bad enough, but this is a new breed of cheat.

If Brenden is even half right then we are in real trouble, you saw what happened to Weir and Smerdon, all the doubting Thomas's? even one of Oz's leading syndicators had to be dragged kicking and screaming away from Weir, nothing like a winner....= #whateverittakes

I couldn't find a thread on NSW Racing Integrity, however I feel this is relevant, today at Murwillumbah only 6 races and small fields, shocking the first 3 races.......why? No confidence in the track or the stewards....and some say the jockey's? How sad is that?

PVL was going to investigate the allegations made on a 'noted' website and a direct request, where are we with that Peter?

It is no surprise that the fields are small today amid the Grafton Carnival, the horses being saved for the bigger races and the track would suit some better down there. To add we don't have the free movement of trainers with their horses coming to Murwillumbah from QLD as usual. Together with the Dunn factor as he trains there. (and seems to do have a pretty good strike rate on a track that you say people have no confidence in).
As for your other comments about Jockeys and stewards, where is this coming from???

Where have you been GAJ? Read peter profit.com.au and his expose on r2 Casino last week, the allegations etc etc.

Murwillumbah by the way is a goat track, you need to catch up.

I've seen this thread Bonjour, Allegations yes!
I am well aware of Murwillumbah, have had luck there too, as I said Matthew Dunn's horses are winning everywhere, trained at Murwillumbah.. Who has been brainwashing you?

I am sure there are some who blame the track, the jockeys and the stewards for any shortcomings!
Don't like it don't race there.

correct...we wont be racing there...and with the small fields and further scratchings, it seems other people feel the same.  If a seagull pees on the track it becomes a quagmire...

BTW. thanks for the contribution Matty....Thumbs Up

I'll watch the replay, the track is narrow and quite often you'll see them on the grandstand side.
One of ours won her maiden there and we though she could have been touched by the racegoers as she went on to the winning post!

Matt Dunn team rules at his home track, almost perfect score, last race only a hair off winning.

Even worse for participants than was the Weir situation in Vic. I used to love M/bah, it was my 'go to' track with Ballina for roughies but not these days Cry

Ohh, I wonder how that can be, is he that much better than everyone else you think? maybe he's frightened most of the opposition off, you know, like Benny did up at Toowoomba and the city trainers said openly, ''no use going''.

To be fair, he was Gerald's foreman for yonks, he must have picked up something useful from Gerald, it looks like he will be joining the old boss back at Rosehill shortly if the drum is correct.......how does it go? ''The boys are back in town''

Putting things into reality, I think  Matt Dunn racing are getting better horses sent to them, considering his scope of racing in different centres, reputation etc. He also buys some and has a good eye.
Many years ago we considered sending a mare to them and I was impressed regarding the work they give their horses - variety its seems, such as other activities other than the track. Beach, Jumps, trails etc, all keeps a horse interested and keen. It doesn't have to be underhanded Bonjour!

I didn't say underhanded Gaj, read into it what you like, but no matter how much lipstick you put on the Murwillumbah track, it's still a pig!

I believe the stewards have crossed the line well and truly with their direction to Nash re seeing a sports psychologist over his rides at Rosehill SAT.

It is not their business to do that, in fact Nash should now take his own action......it's insulting, belittling, derogatory and not within their brief. The riding panel yes, not a Psych!
