Thought it was about time we introduced anther NRL thread . Too much discussion by obsessed supporters who support crap clubs that no one else could give a toss about. A few upsides to this approach ;
* crap teams can still get discussed with the majority not having to read it * more discussion on the real Premiership contenders It will obviously be a moving target - however suggest the main thread be limited to Panthers , Storm, Panthers, Rorters , Panthers , Cronulla , Panthers , Cowboys Lets see how it goes.

you could start a thread on the merits of keeping a clean hanky - but why?

Yes - interesting issue actually Marble. My mum would always make sure i had a clean hanky going to school when I was young. If it was a pocket money day the coin would be tied in the corner. Probably looking back on it its not the most hygienic practice - although without disposables back in the day about as good as you can do I suppose - better than the sleeve
Do people still carry hankies ?

I wouldn't be surprised if Barrett isn't on the sideline next week when the Dogs play the Tigers, they put on only 6 points against the worst defense so far this season last night, the argument may be that next week offers the chance of a moral boosting win but so did this week against a Knights side who in the past 3 games have gone 20-125 for and against with 2 games where they failed to even notch a try.

Not sure whats going on with Cronulla. Letting the Raiders towel you up is not good. And its how they did it - with 11 men for a while.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Head Coach Trent Barrett has today stood down from his role, effective immediately. We would sincerely like to thank Trent for all of his hard work and effort over the past 18 months in what has been a very difficult time for the Club. As this is a challenging time for all parties, the Club would like to respect Trent’s privacy and wish him all the best for the future. |

PT could be correct. Take a stint in the UK Super League & try again back here in a few years. Only young so has plenty of time on his side. The way he has gone out will be looked apon well

Will Gus be running the team till he can get someone to replace Trent? Are there assistant coaches at the Dogs ready to step up? Hard to see a senior coach wanting to be under Gould.

There'd be plenty of unemployed coaches including premiership winning coaches who can not afford to knock Phil back. Shane Flanagan, Paul Green are two. Two is plenty isn't it ? |
