Thought it was a bit early to start this thread.....& to be fair it probably is for Marble, Guru, Djebel & myself

However i noted PT polluting the 2025 thread with some rubbish about the Knights new coach......as if anyone cares.

They need a lot more than a new coach.

Anyhow no excuses now Thumbs Up

How bloody embarrassing....bit like getting sent to the sin bin.

At least i follow well established TBV protocol.....I know where my place is once getting knocked off

Ivan was gutted.....like me & the other 10 million Panther supporters.....could not understand how we got beat when i honestly believe we were the better team across the 80 minutes

Next year will be interesting to see if the fire in the belly is still there....going to be tough to maintain the rage

Few might switch to that other code....only kidding.....only Roosters players do that LOL

13 leaving, had enough of that thin cold mountain air.

Perfect opportunity for a rebuild.

Dont be afraid to call it what it is.

Question for PT ?

What if the Roosters finish lower next year after a Rebuild Year ?

What sort of year would you call that ?

With millions in the bank who should the Chooks target in this off season?

Yes its fascinating. Leaving himself wide open for Panthers to again be a Grand Final challenging side in a 'rebuild'. Yet its only fringe/reserves players going anyway.

You may not have noticed how competitive the NRL is from your mountain top bubble, but nothing is guaranteed. You have to continually renew and hope your season goes well.

Michael Cheika will join the Roosters next year as a specialist forwards coach.

It’s not his first time at the club having worked there as a consultant in 2020, but he’ll have a more expanded role this time around working with the forwards while also supporting coaches and players in the lower grades to ensure consistency throughout the club.

The Rabbitohs have paved the way for a potential move for Titans star David Fifitaafter agreeing on a six-figure sum to release English import Lewis Dodd from his $2 million deal. Dodd signed for three seasons from the English Super League last year - before Wayne Bennett agreed to return to Souths in 2025 - but the English playmaker has failed to convince the master coach that he has what it takes to be the club's first-choice No.7.

Good pickup for the Cowboys.

North Queensland Cowboys poach junior Roosters prospect

He is a former NSW U19 representative.

The North Queensland Cowboys have pulled off a major coup in what will certainly boost the club's forward prospects in the coming years, at the cost of the Sydney Roosters.

Fanafou Seve, who has starred for the Roosters' reserve grade squads as well as the NSW U19's side, has inked a one-year deal with the Townsville-based squad, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Another kid deserts the Rooster pen after seeing what their culture embraces. It’s a stampede of the young talent wanting out

Book of feuds continues: Rabbitohs sign ex-Roosters junior captain

He had been in the Roosters system since 2020.

The rivalry between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and arch-rivals Sydney Roosters has further intensified with the Cardinal and Myrtle landing a former Under-17s Harold Matthew Cup captain of the Bondi-based club.
Already recruiting centre Dean Tauaa and front-rower Phillip Lavakeiaho, the South Sydney Rabbitohs have now made another huge junior signing as they prepare for the future.

After having the year off rugby league in 2025, Zero Tackle understands that Thomas McKenna, a former captain of the Roosters Harold Matthews Cup side, has signed with the Rabbitohs.

Because over these Pacific Championships he's been allowed to play to his strengths as a running 6, although with Sandon Smith at Newcastle maybe he'll be able to play a similar role, if they try turn him into a 7 its doomed to fail.

Lawyers at 10 paces.

Eli Katoa has returned to Melbourne and after further assessment has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery from home.
Storm indicate that while there is no timeframe on his recovery or possible return to training, Katoa will not return to training this pre-season and won’t be available for the 2026 season.
“He has a long road ahead in his recovery and his focus will be on returning to full health before considering any form of return to training.
