I'm sure they'll have another kid who can come into the pack off the bench hanging around and they have enough cover in the outside backs, Peachey can play centres, Turuva could slot in there and/or another kid could come in and play whichever spot Turuva doesn't, Cogger another loss but the returning Laurie will likely slot strait into that 14 role for 12 months before playing 6 if/when Luai cashes in on winning all these premierships.

It really is impressive the culture they've built out there.

The Vegas double header will be played a week ahead of the other round 1 games, probably fair to give these teams extra time to head home and prepare for round 2, they'll also play amongst themselves for Round 2, with Manly playing Easts on Mar 17 and Brisbane playing Souths on March 14, probably also fair given both sides face the same disadvantages.

Rabbitohs vs Roosters in rounds 3 and 27 (for PT and JJ) which means those two will each face two other Vegas returnees in rounds 2 and 3.

Souths have byes in rounds 7, 13 and 17 this time, I look forward to JJ telling us why that is unfair.

Panthers start with Melbourne (unbeaten in round 1 since about 1342) and their bogey side (outside finals) Parramatta, they could very well head into the grand final re-match 0-2.

Broncos only play 14 of their 24 games in the SE corner this time, look out for their two headed fans telling EVERYONE how it is proof the NRL want them to lose.

Tigers play the Dolphins at Lang Park for an away game on April 6, the Dolphins then travel away to Lang Park to play the Tigers at Magic round.  The Titans are actually the only one of the three SE Qld teams to play magic round as a "home" game.

The same could be said for the Bulldogs and Tigers compared to the Eels and Panthers in Western Sydney.

The competition doesn't have true parity while some clubs are given more exposure and in turn more chance to generate income than others, but I doubt the NRL are bothered by that fact.
