Why would you be eligible for the Indigenous All Stars if you play for PNG? If you're talking about Alex Johnston he is half PNG half Aboriginal.

Jack De Belins grandfather was born in PNG, thats how he qualifies, alongside team mates Dan Russell and brothers Kyle and Zac Laybutt.  Luke Page is another former Kumal international who qualified through the same rules.

P.S. this is the NFL thread

Yeah fair enough. I’ve got Irish , English , German & Austrian heritage - probably a few more if I go back a few more generations

Does that make me eligible to play for all those countries in International Sport ?

Well yes, it does make you eligible for all of these.

With an ever-moving population these scenarios are going to pop up more and more, like Tyson Frizell, who is eligible for and has represented Wales (father born there), Australia (born here himself) and Tonga (mother born there).

What is so hard to understand about people identifying to multiple nations? As Tyson Frizell said, he feels a connection to Wales, Tonga and Australia for the reasons above.

I would draw that line at someone like Bundee Aki (amongst many others these days) playing for Ireland in Rugby as he only qualified from playing professionally there for a few years and realistically probably is only representing Ireland because he saw it as an easier path to international rugby than with the All Blacks, but if someone has links back to a nation via parents or grandparents, I see no problem with it.

Gee we are a mixed up world

Report out today recommending contact sports like NRL should be banned for kids under 14. Lots of medical evidence to suggest brain damage resulting in neurological issues like migraine headaches & behavioural  issues.

All far enough.

But no mention of the millions being spent on women  / girls taking up the game. Its almost as if its off limits to come out & say it is madness to promote women playing NRL when it will create mushed brains.

Its one thing to let them play the game - quite another to encourage it.

Worrying increase in the number of ACL injuries in the AFLW, along with some CTE concerns.

When the medical evidence suggests women are far more susceptible.

You really aren't the sharpest tool in the shed are you Tlaz

When you now market to twice the number of people its pretty darn obvious the aim is to have more people playing the game Confused - which is born out by the rapid team expansion in the Women's game

Now your argument would stand up if you claimed playing NRL didn't increase the risk of a mushed brain.

Your not dumb enough to be suggesting that I hope
