Panthers starting to step up their preparation for a third consecutive title. Take it easy boys - its a long season - & the strugglers will be going the niggle. You don't need to go to their level

How could you be that stupid to sign Fatty for another 4 seasons on big dollars LOL . He's already played his best, second best & third best seasons. Crazy

& heard Tommy Turbo is getting help in the US for his chronic hammies - good move Thumbs Up

25% increase in the salary cap, you wont have to cheat to hold on to your GF players.

I do worry that some of them are getting too big for their boots. Might be a bit of a battle early on to get their thinking right

You should read some of the comments on the Souths fan site. Carioca thinks it's only me who expects a lot from him.  His supporters are in the minority...and even they are saying he's a centre, not a fullback.

 Four more years of ego...sigh...

Even you would have to agree PT your team were a major disappointment last year. Coming off a good year previously with basically a Reserves roster after a terrible run of injuries you should have had depth coming out of your ears.

Maybe too much - not sure

Spare me, you have 3 of the four fullbacks from the world cup semi finals, you've poached the NZ test hooker, you've several other rep level players who are all somehow "signed for unders because they like the club".

Who was the last genuine salary cap loss for the Roosters? And I don't mean someone in the bottom end of the squad, I mean a genuine top 17 player.  SST doesn't count.

I told you at the beginning of last year that following massive injury and retirement departures we were entering a 3 year rebuilding phase. 2024 will be the year to get on.

Lodge can now be signed with the new salary cap allowing his contract to fit into the 30.

The Chooks' new restaurant, Olive and Oak, is very good. We had lunch there yesterday, which we do quite often when we are at Bondi Junction. Got to keep the money coming in to pay for all the players they poach. I recommend the barramundi and the vegetable lasagne.

The poker machine area is always nearly empty, these days. We wander through it to get to the downstairs cafe for afternoon tea. Even the ladies who used to pour wads of money into a particular bank of machines have gone missing.

If legislation is brought in to have to use a card for machines, I suspect the chooks' well might run dry.

All Roosters acquisitions last 4 years.

Not too many million dollar players in there.

keep justifying, PT. No-one believes the Storm, the Chooks or Brissie are ever under the salary cap.

And this year our only acquisition of value is Smith at $800k The rest are cheapies. The Chooks have the best development programs in the league and they home grow superstars.

Corey Allan is a handy footballer. I would rather he be Souths fullback than the guy who currently doesn't know how to play there.

Payne Haas's mum finishes off a big year by drunk drive killing 3 people. But from the looks of her she should get a sweet ride in prison as queen bee.

Absolutely despicable actions from this woman, she deserves the book thrown at her, 3 innocent people have lost their lives because of nothing else but her stupidity, give her life in prison.

I also feel for Payne Hass as all the reports will say "mother of Payne Hass" and his name will be dragged down by someone elses actions.

Where did suspended licence “Joan” Taufua get the black Mercedes?

People so often these days seem to think they are above the law, can do as they wish.

It seems this woman has broken so many laws, she obviously has to be put away for life. This is ain to murder, not manslaughter.

Her sons apparently think she is a 'goddess'. Perhaps that is the problem.

Ms Taufua was seen in a black Mercedes wagon “driving erratically” a short time before the crash and allegedly sped off when a patrol car attempted to intercept her after activating lights and sirens.

Ms Taufua was allegedly driving with a suspended licence at the time of the tragedy.

She had only weeks ago been released from jail in October after serving a month in custody for assaulting two security guards at the Star Gold Coast casino.

No pursuit was launched, but the officers were flagged down by a passing motorist just minutes later alerting them to the horrific scene unfolding 1km down the road.
