Well subby, I couldn't care if he went under a bus, but the media keeps saying he's from Australia, in your memory have we really had a tennis player from here blatantly pull up in a match and respond with such disdain?

I'd imagine most people who reach the top in individual sports are selfish, entitled pr1cks. The trick is being able to hide it, and Kyrgios certainly can't do that. Moreover he doesn't even try, which is what I think really rankles with most, but on some strange level I sort of admire. At the end of the day his only real victim is himself.

It wasn't his first tournament win. He's won 3 this year. 2 at the 250 level and the one in tokyo two weeks ago at the 500 level. |

The original green and gold trim were better than the more modern two tone blue. funnily enough, my bro told me years ago that volleys were regarded as the best clay court shoe. even in pro's. just now, i looked it up....sure enough a tennis aust website suggest they be used on clay. or if you can find a shoe that has a similar zigzag pattern and same sole. Remarkable, i thought my bro was exagerating. Alas, volleys and stepping in dog sh*t was a nightmare. the tread pattern made it hard to clean, even for a high pressure gerni

Well to me, if I couldn't care would mean I couldn't foresee what may happen, but if I wouldn't ( which is after the event) care, to me it would be a lie, because in a small way I would care for the emotional impact on the parents( emphathy,,,I don't know PT, does that make sense to you?

never listen to the bastards... I just get sick of "Australian tennis player, Nick Kyrgios, etc..." if they continually preface with "AUSTRALIAN" then we are represented by this drongo... as a young girl I used to lay awake at night with the radio to my ear just to hear the only coverage available of Wimbledon...that's how impassioned a tennis fan I was...have cried for Margaret and Laver, laughed myself sick at Newk and Roche, burst with pride at the Woodies and the gallant second stringers like Fitzy who won Davis Cups against odds, felt like I was on-court with Wendy Turnbull as she gutsed out her meagre victories...(and wanted to whack Mark Edmundson over the head after his disgraceful behaviour in the mixed finals when he acted like an arrogant prick and just about trampled her...) I'm not a fly by night tennis lover...I'm proud that Australia has always produced sportsmen as well as champions... UNTIL NOW.... the bugger can just bugger off as far as I'm concerned...  |
