Kyrgios won in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in front of a sold out crowd at Coco-Cola Arena.

Good on Nick.

I'm always baffled at the hate for Kygrios and now Konstas in the cricket. Are Aussies still racists to Greeks? Guns at their sports.

Best of 3 sets is definitely his go. Always has been. Pity he's not a sheila. He's a pure sprinter in a world where all the big races are run over a mile. Or maybe he's just a lazy bugger who doesn't train as hard as the others.

“Does he not train enough because the body breaks down? Or does the body break down because you don’t train enough?” McEnroe said on Tuesday night.

“He wouldn’t know because he hasn’t trained hard enough to know.

“You’ve got to try the other way before you dismiss it.”

I hate Tomic also, another big mouth. Is he Greek?

Anyway I hate the Malaysian half of Kygrios, not the Greek part Smile

Nick Kyrgios torched as battle of the sexes with Aryna Sabalenka turns into farce | news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site for latest headlines

“This entire match was based on delusion.”

Leading UK sport columnist Oliver Holt also posted: “Sabalenka-Kyrgios - the most, dispiriting, badly-staged, exploitative, lifeless, mishandled, ill-judged, half-arsed bit of sport I’ve watched for some time.

Exactly. Kyrgios is just an embarrassing dolt.

Most Aussies like their Greek neighbours.

We all know men are stronger than women in most physical sports.

Riggs was 54 when he beat MC, who was twenty years his junior.

BJK was then trotted out to beat the old loud-mouth.

 It proved nothing.

Margaret would have probably beaten Riggs except, as usual, her nerves got the better of her.

As usual, apart from when nerves didn't get the better of her and she won 192 titles.

Tlaz...I am Margaret's biggest fan (when she was playing tennis). Even she admitted she lost matches she shouldn't have...BECAUSE OF NERVES.

BJK also suffered from nerves...which is why Margaret could often beat her.

Yes, tennis legend Margaret Court did suffer significantly from nerves throughout her career. She had a "constant battle with nerves," which was a well-known aspect of her playing career. < jsuid="Ruaqob_d" ="0" -amic="true" -icl-uuid="552998fa-7e35-4ff6-a3dc-2a2983841264" aria-label="View related s" ="rBl3me" js="click:&Ruaqob_b|S9kKve;mouseenter:&Ruaqob_b|sbHm2b;mouseleave:&Ruaqob_b|Tx5Rb" -wiz-attrbind="=Ruaqob_b/C5gNJc;=Ruaqob_b/UpSNec;" -ved="2ahUKEwjb8u2Q1-GRAxWDUWwGHal4O-QQye0OegQIARAB" style="margin: 0px 6px 0px 0px; : none 0% 0% / auto repeat scroll padding- border- rgb229, 237, 255; border-width: initial; border-style: none; border-color: initial; border-radius: 10px; height: 20px; padding: 0px; width: 28px; : relative; outline: 0px; cursor: pointer;">http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 24 24">
  • Impact on performance: Her nervousness was occasionally severe enough that commentators and fans accused her of "choking" in high-pressure matches. This was particularly noted in the 1971 Wimbledon final against Evonne Goolagong and during certain early-round losses at Wimbledon, where the pressure to win was immense.
  • Wimbledon struggles: Her anxiety was most evident at Wimbledon, where the pressure of trying to complete the Grand Slam often affected her performance. This is cited as one of the main reasons she "only" won the Wimbledon singles title three times, a relatively low number compared to her dominance at other majors.
  • Physical manifestations: The nerves could manifest physically; one observer recalled her breaking out in "big red blotches on her chest and back" when she had to give a public speech at the Wimbledon winners' ball in 1966.
  • Overcoming nerves: Despite these struggles, she was known for her mental toughness and eventually found ways to manage her anxiety, as evidenced by her 1970 Grand Slam victory, which included a grueling, marathon Wimbledon final win over Billie Jean King.

I suffered through all those damn nervous matches, with her.

Playing with men in mixed doubles is vastly different to playing against one in singles.

I can see why Kyrgios did it. He's a washed up former tennis player with not many options going forward. I can't see why Sabalenka did it. It's probably taken more off her marketing value than what she made playing Kyrgios.

Wrong way round IMO - you'd have to be Greek to like him. And/ or equally obnoxious.
