We had the Bengals the big improvers two seasons ago, and last season was Detroit who just missed the post season.
This season two teams stand out to me. I can see Tennessee and Cleveland being able to improve signifcantly. If Cleveland was in most other divisions they would be a lock for the post season but they are in a huge division. I can see why DHop chose the Titans to link with. The weakness is the QB but if Tannehill can get his passing game up to speed, along with Henry on the ground that offense is dangerous. Carolina's season all comes down to the rookie QB. If he can play up to the standard required for the full season which is a big ask then he has pieces to be a post season QB in his rookie year. Baltimore have finally stuck the hand in the money box to help Lamar on the offensive side of the ball. I make fun of Dallas a lot, but I think their team is more balanced this season and they can at least secure a play off win again. The NFC South is the weakest division. For me the AFC North is a lottery and is very very tough. Buffalo can bounce back from a down year if the injuries are light. Team Ratings. I have modified the ratings analysis for my ratings and every score is out of 500. I have used the schedule, recruitment, coaching staff, offense, defense as the rating categories. Ratings. 1. I am following both. Will always be a Cheesehead, but my husband followed the Jets, so I take an interest in what has now become the equivalent of what Newcastle is to the Chooks.
I just renewed my game pass, so I can see both teams at will. |

the Packers' reserve QB, Clifford, is a bit of a gunslinger, but still impressed at Cincinnati. Love looked good in tandem with Watson and Doubs.
They may not be write-offs, just yet. |

Sean Clifford looking far more comfortable than Jordan Love. He is slick and confident, whereas Love still looks fidgety.. Green Bay might eventually have a different QB than expected. |

Only Americans would pronounce McGough as 'Magoo'...
 The two reserve Packer QBs look more confident than Love. And don't be surprised if A.J. Dillon has a better season than Aaron Jones. He looks slimmer and more agile than last year. As for God...now over at Gang Green...he threw his first TD to Garrett Wilson, just five minutes ago...and it won't be the last one. The old man is looking a little slower on the run, but the golden arm is still functioning efficiently. |

I doubt it. Kansas have always had an iffy defence, and Mahomes and Kelce can outpoint most other defences.

For every game Jones misses, he would be losing out on roughly $1.1 million. For a guy looking to cash in on a massive long-term contract, that’s not very productive.

JJ, I think you make a good point in the NRL the teams are officially named the Newcastle Knights, Melbourne Storm, Penrith Panthers etc, whereas in the AFL the official name of Collingwood is Collingwood and not the Collingwood Magpies and Melbourne is Melbourne not the Melbourne Demons.

I am searching for fantasy replacements, but the cupboard is bare. I have about thirty fantasy games with Travis Kelce as TE. Kansas will win, regardless.

Kelce (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Lions. Advice: Kelce hyperextended his knee during Tuesday's practice and was tagged as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report. The fact that he's listed as questionable for the season opener supports the notion that Kelce has avoided a long-term issue, but in any event, a decision on his Week 1 status could go down the wire ahead of Thursday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kelce is unable to face Detroit, Noah Gray would likely fill in as the Chiefs' top pass-catching tight end, while Kelce's high volume of targets would be spread around out among Gray and the team's receivers and running backs.

I've put Luke Musgrave and Tyler Higbee on standby in most teams. I doubt Andy Reid will risk playing Kelce, but one never knows.

38, all told. 24 with ESPN. 6 with the NFL site.....maximum amount allowed. 8 with Yahoo. I play salary cap, where you have two hundred bucks to buy your team. Good fun.
Gives me something to do during my convalescence. I usually win quite a few every year. One of my teams...Mahomes, Derrick Henry, Aaron Jones, Amari Cooper, DK Metcalf, Travis Kelce, Joe Mixon, in the main squad. Justin Tucker is my kicker in that team...and the Patriots are my team defense. I vary the teams, but Mahomes and Kelce are in a lot...and they cost a good amount of my salary cap.  |

They did...and played darn well. The intercept helped, with Kadarius Toney flipping it on to the Lions, then later he dropped a pass he should have held. Mahomes was not impressed. |
