The Greens are now comfortably the 3rd force in Australia, their vote has been climbing for over a decade now.  The Nationals only maintain any relevance because they are still a pimple on the Liberals bum, should the Liberals ever pop that pimple the Nats would slide into irrelevance.

farmers are at the coalface when it comes to climate change. Bigger and more frequent floods, bushfires and increasing temperatures to deal with. Less rain in dry areas.
A bloke like barnyard is not likely to help them with that in the long term.
They have more commonality with the greens than climate change deniers

Barn will have trouble getting re-elected I think. He was on the front foot defending himself and distancing himself from the Libs collapse. Challengers are tentatively emerging.

Darren Chester might have a crack - heard him yesterday on RN. A lot more coherent than Barn.
Australia could really do without Barny

He was a bit non committal, but only because he didn't want to be the first to jump I think. McCormack Littleproud, maybe Keith Pitt are all in the mix. I think the spill happens on either Monday or Tuesday next week.

They've got no hope. They aren't going to dump Beetroot after keeping all their seats - soy latte-sipping Liberals be damned.

They aren't all stupid, and understand they are there as part of a mutually beneficial arrangement. One side shoring themselves up but driving the other down doesn't help either long term.

I think a few voters in city electorates factored in the Beetroot's contribution to the coalition's arrogance...

Some of his pre-poll interviews were atrocious.

The presumptive challengers have at least two advantages from a personal perspective: neither are understood to be wife-cheating p1sspots.

Chester the stalking horse for Littleproud or McCormack if he nominates this morning.
Might end up deputy.
