Looks well placed in a BM78 over 2400m at Rosehill on Saturday.

Last start 6th in the same grade over 2000m when beaten only 1.5 lengths by Shes Ideel & Archanna.  That is a strong form line as both those 2 are flying.

Wins this today, surely?

He probably does win but you could not back him at those odds.

Perfect Illusion looks a little more taking at the odds.

Weakened in the straight for a well beaten 4th in the Bagot.  Has had a good campaign but didn’t run the 2800m out today.  Spell now & let him mature.  There will be other Listed-class staying races to target later in 2021.

Has injured a tendon, Owners have put him on Inglis Digital unreserved
Current bid $16,000 closes this afternoon

A rare opportunity to secure a well-bred Cup’s horse.

By the late staying Champion Deep Impact and out of an Oaks placegetter and Group Three winner in Star Fashion, Miyake is an exciting Cup’s horse in the making. Currently having an extended break due to an untimely tendon injury in May 2021, he will require some TLC before he returns back to the races.

He has been a high-quality racehorse since arriving into the stable as a two-year-old, giving his riders a great feel since day one despite being a three-year-old staying type. All four of his wins have come on good ground and was scratched from the South Australian Derby at three due to the wet conditions.

Miyake is currently in the care of Lee Evison who has an impressive success rate in rehabilitating tendon injuries. In his most recent scan (29/06/2021), just over a month from his initial injury, the tendon has responded well, however, it will be close to Christmas before he is ready for a return to racing. He has a rehabilitation program which will be provided to his purchaser.

Due to his ownership group racing predominantly fillies and high-class colts, he is for genuine sale.

Temperament: He is a well-educated gelding who has a lovely temperament on the training tracks. He has no quirks and a pleasure to train.

Weight: 475kg (23.07.2021)

Height: 16hh

Embargoes: No Embargoes as of 23rd July 2021

A vet report is attached however we still recommend with all of our horses that all buyers obtain an independent vet check before the final bid. We will not take liability of any issues.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing

The above horse has been in a rehabilitation program at Mr. Lee Evisons stables, Longwarry, Victoria since being diagnosed with a tendon injury on 6/5/2021 (see report).

The most recent examination (29/6/2021) revealed that the left fore superficial digital flexor tendon has filled in” with immature tendon fibres. The alignment of these fibres was poor. The horse is currently in paddock turnout.

I believe that the horse will be at least 6 months away from returning to training.
