This on is for Djebel.  I love the pedigree already but only a foal on breednet.  Will it be a miler or a stayer?

Interesting pedigree. The grand dam is a three quarter sister to lady Giselle the dam of zabeel

I would say miler.

That said Grunt should have stayed 2000m.

Ravens Pass got 2000m.

Nureyev is pure class.

The family is ultimately 2000 - 2400m.

If he shows speed/class and Waller has him he will be lucky to get to see a mile.

Yes Kavg I noticed that at the time I looked at the pedigree.  The dam didn't win so we have to hope the speed Grunt had comes into play but as I said interesting pedigree.  I hope Grunt does well as he also has a very interesting class packed pedigree which should pretty well cover all those Danehill line mares out there.  Just funny that this one doesn't apply to that but it just shows how many different lines he could click with.

Just noticed something else, the best from sayyida, the grand dam of grunt was Ocean Park. Ocean was from thorn park. Thorn park was from spinning world. Spinning world is by Nureyev over riverman as is Mayenne the grand dam of this foal who also brings in the dam line of zabeel.
There is also a 6x6 cross of secretariat. Overall looks like a fairly well thought out mating.

Yes I think more than just lets go here.  Someones gone looking for something and Grunt had that something.  Now we just have to hope the right genes came across!  Wouldn't breeding great horses be easy if that was a given to a good pedigree.
