Just saw the interview between Bruce Clark & Mick Price on TVN.

Looks like he's in for a huge spring.

How many group 1's for Mick?

PS - Has anyone know about his 2yo soon to be 3yr olf COLBERT.  He was scratched a couple of weeks ago?  Anyone help?

I have a half sister by Commands & keenly watching his progress.  I saw  he was scratched a month or so ago, and watching for him.  Their half brother is LANCET by Encosta, and he's won $200k.

Ralph, I'd appreciate your view and assessment.  I don't know much about him, other than there are reports they have had problems with him.

I own the half sister and watching closely.

COLBERT ran on nice, wasn't the best ride and couldn't get the run the winner got.  Anyone think otherwise?

Aren't trainers starting to have a few issues with the local council with beach training?

At least he has had a lot of years at Caulfield.

Poor Phillip Stokes decides to grow his business and make the switch to Caulfield, and 8 months later he sees the race club kick him out within the next five years.

Lloyd's just renting boxes right, so surely no big deal but rather a minor pain in the butt?

Just moves down the road to wherever (at no doubt a removal cost to his clients).

The trainers can move to wherever they want, they don’t have to go to Cranbourne or Pakenham.

They dont have to go there but $40 million is being tipped into those 2 centers to attract and accommodate the departing Caulfield trainers.

That is true, but that is where the future of the industry will be.
Not much point moving to Flemington as it’s just as likely to close as well.

Yes, maybe Flemington in another 10 years. There is nothing at Pakenham! Good luck getting staff there.

Absolutely, it's a hell hole, pisses down in winter, and summer happens once a week, boring as bat gelati, and how many good horses are coming out of there? Even the boom trainers from NZ with their huge stable have to go bush to win races.

They want everyone to move to Pakenham.
Gotta pay off the debt somehow.
Hayes has bought a large parcel of land for his ‘retirement’ Fund.

The number of trainers based out of Ballarat has increased 75% in five years.
