Rusty it was my husbands retirement trip and he treated me.  Mind you we'd go visit a stud and he'd be off visiting an Air Museum.  I am neither rich or famous but my husband made sure that I won't loose the house I live in.  And that trip was so special and I'm so glad we did our travel before I retired or my husband wouldn't of got to see so much.

I think he forgot about loom lenses.  My husband had a good camera.  Unlike my little one he had a much better zoom and a steady hand.

I remember taking photo on a Kodak instamatic. You’d pop the self contained film cassette in the mail and a couple of weeks later you’d get the photos in the mail. In colour!!!

Occasionally the developers would censor a photo - skinny dipping as teenagers for example - and the photo would be just a blurr. They didn’t charge for it though 😀

Early 1980’s a mate convinced me to buy a 35mm Minolta XG1. Awesome. Cost a small fortune.

I recently watched a YouTube on how to bring an old XG1 back to life. I’m thinking of digging mine out and having a go.

Taken back during covid lockdown.  My daughter was out and about picking up the tests and taking them to the labs (no jobs for tour guides during that time).  She found this bird near one of the sites.  It looked like it had been knocked but recovered and took off by itself soon after the shot.

We went to Royal Ascot two of the days and all piled into a pub the day So You Think won (on our way to Bath) to cheer him home.  On the first day we had Frankel show us just how good he was.

From my limited understanding of Royal Ascot, it looks like you were on level 2/3 in the Royal enclosure within 50m of the winning post.

For a mug like me, with no contacts, that’s $5k per head in the iron stand for the week, which is roughly equivalent to this.

It’s at the top of my bucket list!

And you had good weather!

Must have been a great few days!

That explains the very pretty face.

No, don’t tell her please. She looks too sweet for gender issues.
