One is correct. Facts arent racist. 

I thought the 'have nothing to go after anyway' kinda made it obvious I wouldn't actually be suing. If not in the original post, surely by now I've clarified it twice.

Socioeconomic circumstances definitely a major issue 100%. Its another important stat. The stats in unison can work together to say 'hey how can we (fairly) improve socioeconomic status for a section of the community (in this case African Americans) so they importantly for themselves have a better life but also for society we have less crime. Of course you just shout racism before we can flesh out any sensible discussion though. 

However, there is still a cultural issue. Not since the days of Ned Kelly and Jesse James has a white criminal achieved the public sentiment of a George Floyd. Whether there is a level of police brutality in his death or not, making a man with his rap sheet a martyr for your culture is simply absurd. Another cultural issue is fatherless houses, having the stats divided by race gives us good insight into as what can be helped.  

Then we have DV deaths in NT as another example. A death in custody in NT causes extreme reactions. 2023-24 report I found shows 2 NT deaths in custody. Appears about an average of 4 DV deaths in NT per year. The Aboriginal community in NT jump up and down about the deaths in custody but where is the outrage for the DBV deaths? Their community does not denounce it in the same way at all. 

Of course a great deal of African American and Aboriginal people do not suffer from the cultural issues, while a lot of white gronks are deadbeat dads or do crime - but this purely statistically speaking. 

Still sticking to his tax the rich vote winning slogan but he has admitted New York needs to "root out waste & inefficiencies in city government". Code for needs to cut spending on free gelati. Another reason for waste & inefficiencies in councils? Lack of accountability. Its not a bosses capital on the line! 

So Mamdami now saying totally blindsided and blaming prior Mayor. Probably some truth to that. Given there is audited financials I was quite suprised Mamdami acting so blindsides to the fact he won't be able to deliver on his election promises of free gelati for everyone and needs to restore the budget. I couldn't be arsed reading the financials though to confirm so much to the delight of FF I chucked it into chat who confirmed that yes despite shortfalls in the budget it was a known planning issue and Mamdami should not have been surprised. 

This guy is simply playing politics and winning the vote of losers who would rather drag others down to their level.

About 50% of expenditure is on education and social services (whatever that means).

Infrastructure spending (that may or may not generate a return), Covid money, public service wages and interest on the debt all contribute to a budget that is approaching $100M deficit.
