seems strange that she would take a banned substance knowing she is tested every 4 weeks. and this : Swimming Australia CEO Leigh Russell told reporters on Sunday the delay in revealing the positive test to the public was a matter of internal policy. “We must wait until Asada or the particular athlete speaks on any matter,” she said. “We have some very strict confidentiality agreements in place.” |

Having had some personal experience with the likes ASADA I’m not prepared to hang the athlete u til all the facts are in and case closed.
Even then I would have doubts about anything they claim |

1. What is strict liability? UpThe principle of strict liability is applied in situations where urine/blood samples collected from an athlete have produced adverse analytical results. It means that each athlete is strictly liable for the substances found in his or her bodily specimen, and that an anti-doping rule violation occurs whenever a prohibited substance (or its metabolites or markers) is found in bodily specimen, whether or not the athlete intentionally or unintentionally used a prohibited substance or was negligent or otherwise at fault. 4. How is the principle put into practice? UpIf the sample came from an in-competition test, then the results of the athlete for that competition are automatically invalidated. This rule helps to establish fairness for the other athletes in the competition. As relates to subsequent sanctions (Art. 10 of the Code), the athlete has the possibility to avoid or reduce sanctions if he or she can establish to the satisfaction of the tribunal how the substance entered his or her system, demonstrate that he or she was not at fault or significant fault or in certain circumstances did not intend to enhance his or her sport performance. This means that the burden of proof is on the athlete. The strict liability principle set forth in the Code has been consistently upheld in the decisions of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the Swiss Federal Court. https://www.wada-ama.org/en/questions-answers/strict-liability-in-anti-doping |

And who has ever seen a Chinese male so tall and muscular as him ? You just never see big Chinese people. They are a small race of people , so how come he stands out like dogs balls ?? |

Are you outraged at the outrage Isaac, and which outrage are you outraged at? I only see people debating what is going on in a story that is making headlines worldwide.

Whether this is true or not I am unaware, but it was mentioned on radio this morning that "somewhere " in South America racehorses could be legally juiced up providing whatever they had been given was listed in the race book. I do not know how much credence can be given to that, but can anyone verify the truth of that statement ?

There isnt. Because Hungarians have this as priority: 1 Family 2: Work, noble pursuits, art. 3: Sport Its nowhere near our main priority. Per capita we are incredible, because we dont even care as much anyway

Whatever it shows, it is always the athlete's responsibility what they put in their bodies.
More than likely this was a mistake and came from a micro element of a supplement that wasn't labelled or contaminated food. She nor anyone should consume anything not approved. Saw a GP on tv on the weekend saying that with their computerised systems now, even at basic GP level, they have a tick box on their system for elite athletes If anything that is on ASADA's list of banned substances is entered an alert comes up, supplements included. Remember Alberto Contador and his tour de France doping where it was established that the contamination allegedly came from different meat he was eating that had a high count of something from feed they were eating. He still served a 2 year ban.

Shayna is a guilty cheat.
Cant stand the whole "supplements" excuse. Eat damn bread, drink water, have some fruit and veg, and stop cheating. Sports science is a w#ank, invented for people that cant make it to the top on bread.

I think she is guilty of unwittingly taking a banned substance, should have been more vigilant but it is incredibly difficult, seems they need to consult the authorities before they put anything in their mouths

Swimming Australia provide a list of approved supplements. Every swimmer is GIVEN that list. The list is mandatory. If the supplement isnt on that list, it is not approved. She cheated, and she knows it. |

She is a dimwit. Took sports supplements that haven't been officially tested. She's a damn spruiker for untested sports supplements - OUT! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-30/shayna-jack-instagram-post-promotes-supplement-drug-test-result/11364344

it is 2019. If she or her handlers, don't know that by now, they never will. As in law, ignorance is no excuse. She has stuffed her career. I say it serves her right. I'm waiting for the first positive in the equine world. What a product

The old kangaroo court in action.
She is not a cheat if she was unaware. She may be stupid but not a cheat. Also, her legal supplement may have been contaminated I won’t hang her till the facts are in. Others should do the same |

And, as I said earlier, I’ve had first hand experience with these testing regimes. If you’re silly enough to have faith in them go ahead. I know better
