Spurs now 3-0 up and cruising...

I reckon it would be great to see Spurs go top with 1 game to go... then get pumped at Newcastle on the last day and Leicester win it anyway! Only because I despise Spurs...

Good to see English players getting it done too. Kane and Alli for Spurs will carry them for the next 10 years.

Eden Hazard has come out said nobody at Chelsea wants Tottenham to win the title, they play Spurs next and Leicester on the final day so can make sure they get their way!

Spurs have just been held 1 all at home to West Brom. 3 more points and Leicester are home!

Since LR80 suggested the wheels have fallen off Leicester have gone from grinding out 1-0 wins to destroying their next opponent 4-0 while the only possible challenger Spurs have gone from scoring almost at will to being held to 1-1 at home against a team in the bottom half with nothing to play for.

Extraordinary result.

I think folks who don't follow football will struggle to grasp how amazing this story is.

An amazing effort! Has to be up there with the great achievements in sport, I can't think of anything in recent memory that it can be compared to except perhaps last seasons Melbourne Cup? It is still a much more surprising and much tougher feat to pull off...

Jamie Vardy was playing non league in 2012, now he is FWA player of the season, most of these other players are journeyman players who have all reached the peak of their careers so far? Can they maintain it or even improve next season? Who cares? Certainly not their fans, they'll just be over the moon at their clubs first ever top flight title...

Sky News said they were 5000/1, when was that? Early season or pre game?

That was at the start of the season. There have been quite a few stories of Leicester fans collecting high 5-figures or even more. Talk about living the dream when your yearly $10 bet on your lifelong football team nets you $50k!

What a disgrace to sack the coach after all he achieved not that long ago.

I was hoping they would survive the cut, but after that news I hope they sink and never return.

Interestingly the last two winning managers of the PL have been sacked the following season. It's a mad mad world.

He deserved the home leg of their Champs League tie at the very least. That late Vardy goal kept them in the tie for the return leg.
I also didn't want them to go down, now I hope they do (my club, Boro, need 3 worse teams than us!!)

Quite incredible. I read a couple of weeks ago about a Leicester fan who had £10 @5000-1 at the start of the season. He had just cashed out for about half. They were just under even money at the time. Now 1.23.

Today, a 2yo called Fivethousandtoone ran 2nd in the Gp2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury. He is owned by King Power Racing, part of the King Power group of the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the Leicester City owner who tragically died in 2018. King Power Racing have had a number of good horses competing in Group racing in recent years. They carry blue & white colours similar to the football strip.

Won their first ever FA Cup overnight, defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the final at Wembley.

In this era of super-rich clubs dominating everything, it is refreshing to see one of the traditional battlers fighting it out with the big boys.

Hopefully they can do the double over Chelsea mid-week and lock in a Champions League spot for next season.

Leicester City aren't exactly poor. Been owned by Thai billionaires since 2010.

This may be true, but they are still a medium sized club only and they had only won 3 League Cups prior to their title win in 2016, it's still impressive what they have achieved, they've also taken a different approach to the way Chelsea and Man City have done it, a similar model to Arsene Wenger's at Arsenal, finding the hidden gems and developing them before turning them over at a profit and starting again.

Leicester is also not an attractive destination for players to live, at least compared to London or even Manchester, also other clubs such as Aston Villa and Wolves with similar a similar location to Leicester are not doing nearly as well, it takes more than an owner with a big cheque book to achieve what they have.

It's difficult to be a 'poor' team in the Prem these days with the TV money they get. But you're right they aren't one of the top dogs and definitely playing above expectations. Maybe expectations are too low now?

Similar to West Ham this year and Wolves previously. My poor Wolves are struggling this year lol.

Great old club Wolves, probably the second biggest club in the midlands after my team (Aston Villa) on both honours and fan base, Forrest may have won the European Cups but Wolves are big in their own right, even my family still in the area don't dislike Wolves (except possibly my uncle, a Baggies man) as we generally consider Small Heath and West Brom more rivals than Wolves.

It would be great to see Wolves going well again and even get some Champions League football, it's often forgotten that Wolves were perhaps one of the best sides in Europe in the 1950s and at the forefront of the push to create the original European Cup.
