Saw this on the Racenet website, and although I have only a fleeting interest in greyhound racing, this looks like a great promotion.

11 Provincial races open only to greyhounds trained at the 11 locations, including Temora, great to see.

Also we have 14 races in Sydney, open to greyhounds all over the country.

All up $1.7 million in prizemoney, with the final in Sydney on October 20th (the semi finals will be run on the day of the Everest and the final the following saturday night), being worth $1.2 million, $1 million to the winner.

This could develop into a industry saver!
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

How did you go Heavy ? Did they get their money back through the turnstiles ? Did it go to a battling trainer / owner ? Has it run yet ?

Government chioped in, wasn't whole $$ I believe. Ladbrokes surely made up lot of it.

Interesting that prize money can't be collected until winner is retired and rehomed
