Don't think so. However, unlike you I am prepared to hear both sides of the story before passing comment.

What I heard today from Carbone was that there are many ethnic group horrified by the thought of these people being their neighbours. ISIS committed horrific crimes - beheadings , kids getting mass slaughtered - & some of this was done to friends & families of folk living here. Further, there has been no saying sorry from these Brides - no sign of remorse. So these folk who have seen the results of the horror first hand are saying bugger off - we will never accept you guys. Which begs the question - why would you put the 3 families & their kids right back into the melting pot of Western Sydney. Put them in Broken Hill or Nimbin for gods sake.
You do realise these families will be put on pedestals by some in those communities don't you PT ?

I will add though - at this early point. Star Sri Lankan cricketer hooks up on some 30 something bird on dating App. Have a few conversations over a few days & meet up for a few drinks a day before he is due to fly home. What did she think he may have been after do you think PT ? Marriage or just a long distance liaisonLOL I mean seriously - your big on Personal Responsibility when it comes to degenerate gamblers. Do you not think a bit of personal responsibility in situations  like this one ?

There's a whole tribe of young kids involved. I wonder what the kids think of there famous Dads ? Wasn't one running around with a head in his hand ? - or was that someone else ?

So what have they been told - you know - really told ? Stories of heroism maybe ? Fighting a good cause ? Maybe none of that - although you would think it way well come out in the school play ground at some point

Well it sort of is TJ. If they can show that behaviour in his own country would be tolerated it would help mitigate his actions. Not saying it would save him by any means - however it would reduce the penalty I would have thought.

There will be lots of factors that will end up impacting this case that are not "laws" TJ. What i said will have an impact if that can be shown. His celebrity status will also play its part when push comes to shuv - as will behind the scenes diplomatic pressure.

If you think this bloke will ever spend 20 years in the clink you are kidding yourself.

So she was forcibly kissed on the ferry & had her buttocks smacked. And continued into her house apparently. Why did she do that ?

So she was happy to have consensual sex as long as he wore a condom. So she obviously had no issue with the sex bit - where he made his mistake was not wearing a condom

Good luck

For 11 it's ALWAYS the alleged victims fault.  Ouch

Says far more about him than either of the parties involved.

It does seem to suggest the outcome was a done deal - with both sides "on-board" (another euphemism maybe). Until the condom thing "popped up" (& another LOL) - no excuse to go on with it of course - & against one of TJ's laws no doubt.

Mitigating causes all the same I would have thought.

Don't think I've said that at all. In fact quite the opposite. What I am saying its hardly as if its like a bloke springing out of an ally way & raping an unknown girl (or a girl doing same to a bloke LOL ). The article above suggests consensual sex was agreed to up until he wouldn't wear a condom. So it comes down to how & when that change in consent was communicated.

Haven't read anything about this incident, but if that's true this stuff is officially becoming a joke. Time for men to defend themselves against predatory women maybe.
JJ will agree. (Nearly said something very naughty )

After they arrived at her home, the cricketer allegedly refused to wear a condom and choked the woman three times.

"The complainant tried to remove the accused's hand by grabbing his wrist but the accused squeezed tighter around her neck," the police facts sheet says.

Yeah, that part's pretty odd mate. Would suggest a lack of consent if found to be true.

But hey, that's just my opinion.
