   Recently watched this lengthy piece which is in stark contrast to related material on our ABC & SBS.

Among the topics was:

Infanticide. Essentially the indigenous needed to practice this because otherwise they couldn't survive. Doesn't say much about the development of their culture.

If the British hadn't settled here, then some other nation would have.

The French were favourites.

But it also could have been Polynesians!

And had that happened then genocide was on the cards! As had happened before!

I think all of us should count ourselves lucky, the British settled first.
