I’ll be black booking her for next time.
This filly has her 2nd start in R3 at Kensington today.  I’ve got to believe what I saw on debut and follow through on her with an each way bet today.

I do not want to talk you out of it but whilst she should have finished much closer she was never going to win that race.

She wants about 400m further if not more.

I agree she’ll be better over a little further than today’s 1150m.  But can’t let her go around without a little sneaky each way wager.

Pretty sure he came from the Warrnambool stables (was on the Williams float) to today's meeting.
Saw his win in the the flesh, he is a magnificent looking specimen in the yard.
the best looking horse on today's card by a long way!

Thanks Shawy.  Seem to remember he was picked up quite cheapish but happy to stand corrected.

But a no-brainer as Declaration of War sired 5% winners to live foals in the two seasons he stood here and someone can no doubt tell us what his percentage of winners to runners was here.  Plus his third dam was the marvelous performer and broodmare Glorious Song.

I know it was only a BM88 at Rosehill last Saturday but this guy was a very interesting run. Ridden very conservatively, looked like he would finish near last but was jagged across heels and closed off nicely over the 1900m.

Intriguing that CJW has accepted with him in the 2400m Metrop Hcp this Sat.  He’s lightly raced & working through the grades.  Any chance he’s a sleeper for the Metrop?

There’s so many imported youngsters going around these days it’s hard to keep track of them all.

But one of them won impressively by 5.5 lengths at Geelong today debuting in a 1500m maiden.

Aramco - 4 year old by Sea The Moon x Shamardal mare

Probably not much quality behind him today but acceleration over final 200m was eye catching.

News article on Aramco

The Mick Price and Kent Junior stable produced an exciting winner in Aramco last Friday at Geelong.

The horse won his debut over 1400m by five and a half lengths, but Kent Jnr said they had decided to give him a short break.

“It was a good win. He’s a nice stayer in the making,” he said. “You have to love the way he didn’t ease up and win by a length or two he maintained his speed to the line, and he went on to win by five and a half lengths.

“Also, he was fairly underdone, so he’s a stayer of promise. We’re going to look after him as he’s a northern hemisphere horse who is six months behind.

“He’s done enough and really impressed us. He’ll be a progressive stayer next time.”

The dam of Aramco is a half sister to Big Duke so definitely bred to stay.

This girl resumes today over 1300m in R6 at Newcastle today.

That debut run still sticks in my mind, but then disappointed at start 3.  Hoping she’s improved after a spell, so will have a little bet in her today at start 3.

Has his 2nd start today, race 8 at Geelong a BM64 over 1518m.

But after his brilliant debut there’s no 4/1 again about him today. Currently around $1.80 on Tab fixed odds.

One to look for on a routine Tues meeting at Mornington in Race 4.

Owned and trained by Cliff Brown, who has been adept at training stayers before he went to Asia.

This horse is by Golden Horn out of a Montjeu mare

Ok this one isn't exactly imported, as it's from NZ.

Australian trainer sends an email to clients, saying a particular the 3yo has a great up-side and suggests a few starts in Oz this Spring before getting serious late Autumn onwards with Stakes races in mind.

Thing is, the horse has never raced.  And was sold as a yearling for less than $2k!  But wow has won a trial over 1000m.

Syndicated price: $170,000.

Probably not much quality behind him today but acceleration over final 200m was eye catching.
