Currently ALP member for the federal seat of Holt, Anthony Byrne, is being grilled in the IBAC anti-corruption commission over branch stacking and his employment in his electoral office of "ghost employees " all paid for by the Commonwealth government. Further to his woes, he even barracks for Collingwood.

Incorrect. Byrne is in fact the whistleblower who first accused sacked ex Ministers Adem Somyurek and Marlene Kairouz, along with Luke Donnellan, of branch stacking.
However if you really want to know anything about branch stacking, particularly at Federal level, just ask Kevin Andrews or Michael Sukkar in one of the brief moments they're not up to their noses in it.

One down and more to come, following the damning evidence of Anthony Byrne, the Minister for Child Protection and the Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers in the Andrews government ,Luke Donnellan has resigned.

Am quite surprised Barnaby Joyce hasn't angrily accused IBAC of being a Star Chamber or a Spanish Inquisition.

Barn's a bit busy defending 18C, condemning free speech and demanding govt interfere in people's lives to worry about a bit of corruption.

SC, captain & PT ,vice captain, of the posse, as far as I am aware, Barnaby lives in Queensland, and drawing him into the thread of the IBAC commission into anti-corruption in Victoria is nothing more than deflection by both of you.
If you feel Barnaby has something to answer for, start up a thread " Barnaby ".

Bob, please keep up.
Joyce was Usain Bolt-like out of the blacks to declare the NSW ICAC a Spanish Inquisition when it announced its intention to investigate Gladys.

Byrne ,by his evidence today, is implicated in branch stacking as much as Somyurek, and his days are numbered as the deputy chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security providing oversight of Australia's security services.

You are most likely correct Bob. Byrne is clearly in this for revenge as he was correctly sidelined (along with the sacked Somyurek and Kairouz) and clearly wants to get his quid quo pro.
If others go down sobeit.

All this stuff came out last year in an ''expose'' from NINE (I think). A couple resigned but was it ever established that anything illegal happened, not just breaches of Labor Party rules?

Bob, Adem Somyurek the subject of the channel NINE branch stacking shoe was booted from the Labor Party but still sits as an independent?
From memory Dan got rid of him and asked Wayne Swan to deregister him. Maybe another opportunity for Dan to clean house and get rid of the rest of those plotting against him trying to destabilize the govt.

Bob I did ask you to keep up. This is the absolutely relevant thread for me to query Joyce's apparent hypocrisy for criticizing ICAC as a supposed Spanish Inquisition without expressing similar sentiments about IBAC. They're essentially the same: both anti-corruption commissions independent of Government.

What is emerging from this IBAC investigation is the backroom deals that have been part of ALP culture in Victoria for over 25 years.
It is on interest is the life and times of Daniel Andrews over that period 1972 Born 1992> 1996 work part time as an ALP electoral officer 1996 Completed Arts Degree at Monash University 1997 ALP party organiser and assistant state secretary for ALP 2002 Elected to parliament 2006 Various ministries 2010 Elected Premier of Victoria Who knows whether those years between 1992 and 2002 might be of interest to IBAC ?

Don't insult us with your above post Bob.
If you have nothing to offer rather than infer rubbish without any shred of evidence, as it would currently appear, please just shut the f=ck up. No apologies the above comment, because it's rarely been more relevant in response to your nonsensical diatribe. |
